    May 3

    Brewers 11-18
Blue Jays 14-15 (have to play the May 3 game though)

    1B Adam Lind: .370 OBP, 125 wRC+ (yes, I did the calculation), 1.820 BatRuns.

C J.P. Arencibia: .215 OBP, 65 wRC+, .120 ISO (which is quite impressive considering my team ISO of .078), -4.890 BatRuns, A POT

    PROSPECTS:

    Spoiler

Jon Lucroy: .343 OBP, 144 wRC+, 2.3 BatRuns. 10.875 RF... damn. But be warned, .324 BABIP.

Francisco Rodriguez: 13.50 ERA, 1:2 K:BB ratio (4:8... ow lol), 10.00 DIPS, 2.1M salary. Negative value.

And lastly, my ace in the hole so to speak. Anthony Gose: .358 OBP in AAA, 12.336 RC (around 130 RC+), 1.615 RF, pure CF, Tier 5 A. I do NOT want to give him up... only in a dire circumstance.

Right now, I'm thinking Arencibia + Davis + Lugo for K-Rod + Lucroy, thoughts? I really want to get something done.
I think it's a bit early in the season for the Brewers to be throwing in the towel, but other than that I think the actual trade is fair. If it was later in the season it would be perfect.

Ugh... is there ANYTHING I can do? ANYTHING? I. Need. To. Be. Rid. Of. This. ****er. NOW.

I'll check Brian McCann's stats on the Braves after I have some dinner / at the half of the NBA finals.

If I was doing the Milwaukee trade AC I would probably replace Lugo with Stilson.

With Segura at short just seems like getting a good pitching prospect would fit in better with their plans.

Did you read the scouting report? Lugo's best at 3B, which they need. Stilson < Lugo.

Depending on McCanns stats I would love a McCann + Merejo/Northcraft for JPA + Nay + Dejong.

You get a tremendous upgrade at C and a young pitcher to develop. Braves downgrade at C in order to provide organizational depth and prevent losing McCann for nothing. I think Nay is a player we could desperately use. Young position player with tons of power. And of course a nice young pitcher to develop in Dejong.

Now this is coming from a Braves fan so idk if you feel as though that's an overpay.

              Are any of these good?

Chacin + Escalona for Hunter Morris

              Friedrich for Morris

Belisle + Eddie Butler for Morris

I would definitely do that, but are you sure Nay is a good fit? He may move to 1B or RF which are set for the forseeable future.

What did you say a couple pages back? It's better to prepare for the worst, better to deal with an abundance of depth rather than a lack of depth? Or something along those lines lol. Besides we need a young hitter in our system in the worst way.

Yes, but an abundance of all of two players at a non-premium position isn't exactly anything to write home about when you could fill a hole.

True, but It's not like the Braves have a ton of immediate holes. And besides, Nay is only 19, who knows what could happen by the time he is ready. Even if he isn't able to stick at 3rd, we still have ZERO viable options for 1st/RF/LF in the organization. I really actually feel like Nay provides an organizational hole, as we have no legitimate power hitters in our system. I'd love to have him in the Braves org.

My bad AC completely goofed on that one.

After reading it though it sounds like pretty good trade to me, only thing going against it right now would be were you are in the season. But if you can't stand him any longer pull it.

I just passed game 50 in my Yanks chise trying to chase down your Blue Jays from second place, trying my best to wait just slightly longer before pulling off the Ruiz deal we talked about. Man it's hard though, definitely feel where you're coming from with catcher problems.

Between three guys (Romine, Stewart, Cervelli) I've got a low .200 average 1 hr and 9 RBI, and lots more bad stats I can't remember of the to of my head.

I think the Braves would have to be out of it to pull the McCann deal, I know his contract is up at the end of the year, but the Braves are in it to win this year and he's a big lefty bat come playoff time.

Not to mention there's no guarantee they don't bring him back, however if they are out of it then you could definitely make a deal with them.

Huh, that's fair. Lugo does have 20 HR potential but I see where you're coming from.

At least your guys can play defense. JPA cost me my last game with a dropped 3rd strike.
