If the A's are in it would it be unrealistic of them to deal Seth Smith?

Coco Crisp is out for 1-2 months and I'm in the first week of July if that matters.

Kind of. Seth Smith is nothing great, but what about their other OF depth? If Chris Young is playing along with Cespedes and Reddick, it's probably ok. Brandon Moss can DH.

            I think it's ok if they've either:

            a) traded for/signed another MLB level OF
            b) they're getting an OF back
            c) called up one of their OF prospects

Their OF depth isn't great, but Smith isn't a star either. He can be replaced, but they don't have much depth at the position. If they added another OF, it's fine.

Hmmm I'm not big on unrealistic lol. And it turns out I was mistaken, Crisp is only out for 1-6 days and Chris Young is out 1-2 months. Smith is the primary DH at the time for them and is hitting .223/.301/.375 in 269 ABs.

If he's unrealistic I really need a lefty with some pop to come off my bench as the Braves.

I'm just past the all star break in my 'chise and looking to make some deals for the other contending teams and was wondering how far out a team would have to be out to be considered sellers? Also if the Cards and Braves are completely out of it would McCann and Beltran be guys they would try to move?

                  In short, yes.

It's been established that both guys would be realistically available if both teams are well out of contention.

Stats and team needs may play a roll in overall value.

At the beginning of the season, trying to get rid of Albert Pujols as the Angels. What could I get for him and which teams would be interested in acquiring him?

This has been covered before. I'd suggest looking him up. This is not possible with any speck of realism though. His contract is way too big (why you want to get rid of him is why no one else would have him).

Can someone PM me a full write up, in depth, on how to tell if someone is a high/low potential? I'm completely wiped, ridiculous day, so I'm too tired, but I want to put it in the OP. Thanks in advance, sorry for the laziness.

                          Player M - Pot B - 55 OVR

The OVR is ranked by each subset of potential. For example, Players A-C are the highest B potential players on this list. Then D-F, and so on until you come to the lowest B potential players, L&M. Hope that helps.

I know, I'm looking for something more in depth.

I like Gyorko's value but Iglesias is much too high. Low B at the most but I'd be more inclined for a high C
