I agree, that's not Asgaard though.

What scouts did you talk to? Yankees are known to hype prospects to get more value out of them. Sites like BA hype them to get people excited and get more subs. I will source Strasburg. http://m.nydailynews.com/blogs/baseb...asburg-t#bmb=1

I have actually watche video on him. Fastball is more Wheeler like than Cole or Harvey like but that is fine. More movement yet command than speed and he only hits 96 in short stints, not 100.

CH sucks. Arm speed problems, command problems, years away from getting a goid one if ever. This is always a question though, why don't high school coaches teach a change?

CUrve is big and loopy, easy to pick up and lay off. Does not have late bite. If thrown from same release point and angle as FB, it is in the dirt half way to the plate. He needs to tighten it up.

    Fastball only = reliever.

That said, it is a video game and he is probably an A so that would be the right value and I was only thinking of this stuff. I tend to forget that.

Correct they were being shopped and JD is an A in my game. Porcello wasnt going very good in my game either with a +5 era ... STill looking to dump the rest of those players if anyone wants to throw around ideas ...

          Bud Norris - 4-9 3.56 era 86k in 113.2 IP
          Travis Blackley - 4-2 3.53era 33k in 63.2 IP
Carlos Pena - .235 avg 71 hits 18 hr and 61 rbi in 302 ab
          Eric Bedard 7-6 3.40 era 74k 111.1 IP
Pedro Ciriaco .236 avg 35 hits 3 hrs 13 rbi in 148 ab (To the twins, Mets or Rockies Tulo is out for a month ?)

Ive heard that Pena could make sense for the yankees. He is numbers in the game is going to be better then the ones he put IRL last yr.

i sent 2 minor leaguers to the royals for Frenchy . A RP and a LF both low Cs . Frenchys value is only 1 low C. So that leaves me with Dirks in LF Grossman in CF and Frenchy in RF .. All i need is a better SS and ill take minor leaguers for other tradeable players i have. Im drawing up trades that way i can get feed back instead of looking for answers.

Porcello AND Dirks is way too much for J.D. Martinez and Veras. I don't care if Martinez is an A or B, Dirks likely has the same designation but with higher ratings.

Also, being shopped is one thing, but getting a low return is another. The Tigers could very well be looking to move them, but they'd require a better return is what I'm saying. I also can't say I've heard very much if anything about them wanting to deal Dirks.

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread

CPU just offered this to me (I'm Miami and in May....Rays are 9.5 out of the East and 8 out of the WC)

Hellickson + Oviedo for Nicolino, Marisnick + Heaney

                    Marisnick - .307 Avg. 2 HRs 23 RBI 23.7 RC

                    Nicolino - 2-4 4.74 ERA 7.4 K/9 3.6 DIPS

                    Hellickson - 1-7 4.53 ERA 6.2 K/9 5.2 DIPS

I'm unsure about this since spreadsheet says Marisnick is unrealistic but is there something I could add on the Rays side to make this more realistic? I think its an overpay as the deal stands since Hellickson isn't playing well. Should I swap Marisnick with someone else? Or should I just scrap the deal?

                      What roster are you using?

If you're using one where Gyorko is A pot or 80+ (or both like the SCEA roster), Hedges, Gyorko and Matt Wisler could work for Sale. White Sox want no business with Headley if they're out of it.

Try a team like the Dodgers for Headley if you're not the realism advocate.

Also, the Cardinals and Braves would have interest for Headley

I did a Headley post a while back, with a bunch of different options. I don't think the Cubs go after him realistically. But, since you're in the game, and they don't have Kris Bryant yet, I'd say this deal:

Brett Jackson + Dan Vogelbach/Dillon Maples + Junior Lake/Christian Villanueva + Starling Peralta

Jackson's an A in the game, but doesn't deserve to be, at all. Kind of like how Vitters is an A. Threw him in there in place of a high B.

I found that post, and if I were you, I'd do one of these.

                        Spoiler

                        And for Chris Sale.. Lol

Max Fried + Austin Hedges + Rymer Liriano + Casey Kelly

The rebuilding Sox wouldn't want Chase Headley. The price for Sale is steep, as it should be. That's 4 A's, which I'm not even sure is high enough. The Sox aren't taking anything less though.

I'm too lazy/tired to look up the stats but doesn't Dirks have extreme platoon splits? That's basically what my argument is predicated on.

Seeing how cheap the Cubs got Arrieta for I wish the Brewers would've done a similar deal. Its a risk but if Arrieta figures it out he's gonna be great in the NL Central (I think I remember you saying the same thing earlier in this thread)

Brewers probably could've traded Marco Estrada + Martin Maldonado for Arrieta lol

Wow, that Feldman trade is pretty interesting in terms of Show players. In my Cubs franchise, Scott Baker is putting up similar numbers to Feldman IRL. Would two of Brandon Mauer/Tyler Pike/Patrick Kivlehan/Eric Thames/Chris Taylor/Julio Morban/Francisco Martinez/Stefen Romero be a ridiculous return? I'm not overly familiar with the M's system, just looking at mid & low B's.

Edit: Ah, just looked up Arrieta/Schoop's numbers. I'll probably stick with one low-mid B for Baker.
