Machado will most likely be moved back to shortstop within a couple of years so I think it would be more realistic if you targeted a third basemen. Just my two cents.

Would a contending team (maybe the Mets?) like someone like Hardy in a deal? Would net you some prospects to help you swing that Andrus deal? The Pirates could be a fit for Hardy in exchange for something like Jose Tabata, Jordy Mercer and a low level prospect arm. Would net you some depth in order to be able to swing a deal for Andrus
So what would I offer to the Rangers if I swung your Hardy trade? I just want to make sure it's fair for both sides.

I also need a SP and I like lewis or Lindblom if I could get one of them in the trade also

I also like the Chase Headley idea but I already investigated and his numbers are so poor it isn't even funny

I'm not as deep into the O's prospects like I should so someone please correct me if this offer is out of tune but Schoop, Delmonico, Britton and Arrieta/Tillman for Andrus and Lewis/Lindblom

            That means he'd come cheap

            How "bad" are the numbers?

I'm in 2012 still rolling with the Marlins before everyone got traded. Im still in it. The Giants and A's are out of it. Hows this trade look?

Marlins get: Tim Lincecum 3-2 3.81 ERA, Coco Crisp .268 3 HR 21 RBI in 55 games.
A's get: Matt Dominguez, Tommy Joseph, Ricky Nolasco 4-6 4.69 ERA, Adam Conley
Giants get: Jarrod Parker 1-6 5.5 ERA

It seems as though the Rox are not going to be trading for a starter this year unless they are a clear cut contender. They just don't want to pay a fairly large contract for a rental.

Not sure how long that is going to hold though. Our 4-5 starters have been very very bad. Our #3 starter hasn't been that great either.

I don't think the Giants are getting enough for Lincecum. And I don't think the A's would do that trade as well

I think you're better off going after Lincecum and Coco separately. I don't think the A's are going to want to give up Jarrod Parker and I don't know why they would want Nolasco if they are out of the playoff race.

Baseball Tonight podcast 7/12. Interesting to hear Buster Olney discuss Asdrubal Cabrera as a potential fit for the Cardinals in exchange for some of that young pitching in the upper minors. At the same time, we're like, "Yeah so what else is new? We've already covered that here at the boards several times over the last couple of months. Been there, done that! Wanna know what works value wise? Check out our spreadsheet Buster"

Actually, Asdrubal for Tyrell Jenkins and Seth Maness or something could work kinda well, that makes a lot of sense, not to go off topic.
