I just started a franchise with the Indians, and I'm in need of OF help. Do you see any way I could get my hands on (OAK) Y.Cespedes or (PHI) D.Brown ? Also open to other suggestions I might have missed.

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
In my Astros Chise year 2 I want to offer the following trades:
Astros Send: Brad Peacock 81 OVR (mid B), Josh fields 74 OVR (mid B)
Braves Send: Mike Minor (87 OVR High B)
Astros Send: Jimmy Paredes at (low A), Alex White (mid B)
Phillies send Dominic Brown (low A)
I tried to make these as realistic and as fair as possible and I am not going to offer the trades until I get you guys opinions.Comment

What about Andre Ethier? Chris Heisey? Alex Rios? Carlos Quentin? Just name dropping here, don't know exactly what you're looking for. Lefty or Righty bat? Good fielder as well or strictly a power bat?Former modder of "Ultimate Rosters" for MVP Baseball 2005.

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Josh fields and Peakcock I remember had pretty average seasons.
Alex white had a pretty solid year in AAA last year. Paredes has been phenominal in AAA last year and this year.
I can't remember all the numbers from last year but I remember how they did.Comment

Kinda depends on how realistic you are...Cespedes is a real no-go in my eyes. Dom Brown could be someone to trade for during spring with a storyline of that the Phillies have soured on him for not living up to his potential in previous years with the team. What are you willing to offer up in a deal for either one of those guys?

In terms of what I have available, it really depends on what I can get in return. Santana, Kipnis, Cabrera and Bourn I'd like to keep. Same with Trevor Bauer and Chris Perez. Reynolds, Aviles and Chisenhall too, unless the acquired player can replace them at their position.
I've struggled with Swisher in the past, so he could go and I guess he would be my biggest asset available...but can't really sacrifice him without a decent bat coming the other way to take his spot in the line-up.
Both Brantley and Stubbs could go as well. And I doubt I could get anything good for them, but Giambi and Raburn are also available.
In terms of prospect, I don't have many...but both Lindor and Frazier could be part of the deal, if I can get my hands on a an outfielder who's both young and MLB ready player. Same with all the other B-rated prospect (the only one I'd really like to keep is Aguilar).Comment

I'm just thinking of the Braves rotation and if they'd really want to move Minor? In 2014, Hudson and Maholm should be gone right? Meaning Beachy, Teheran, Minor and the other have their spots. Did they sign any other pitchers over the winter that'd make Minor expendable? What's their current rotation like in your game?
Dom Brown is a piece the Phillies would like to keep if Amaro opts for rebuilding. Your offered package focuses a bit on rebuilding with organizational depth but nothing more really. Paredes and White are so-so when talking potential and are no more than like a 4th OF and back of the rotation starter. They could deal Brown but for something of a higher value, either young MLB ready talent with more upside than Paredes/White or a star player if contending. Just thinking out loud here but Altuve for Brown if the Phillies haven't found a replacement for Utley at 2B?Former modder of "Ultimate Rosters" for MVP Baseball 2005.

Gotta say I find your proposed deals hard to judge and I'd love some extra feedback from the other members here at the boards.

About Dom Brown I won't trade Altuve just for him. Maybe for Brown plus another player(not really sure who though). If that won't work then I will keep him because he is my centerpiece.Comment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I'd have to say no to the Braves question. In 2014 I doubt they'd move Minor unless Gilmartin turned into a stud which is unlikely. Losing Minor would eliminate alot of the Braves pitching depth. Without him the 2014 rotation would be Medlen, Beachy, Teheran, Gilmartin, Graham. Awfully uncertain on that back end with no one in the upper minors ready to step in.
I really want to do the Dom Brown trade though.Comment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I don't think that is enough for Dominic Brown. I guess it would really depend on how he has performed in your chise, but I don't really see any incentive for the Phillies to trade Brown for someone who is only a year younger and has less power. And Alex White.... well it's Alex White. He's probably a #4 starter at best, but probably a #5 or an injury replacement.Denver Broncos
