Could I pair either Holliday or Freese with Wainwright and get another decent prospect or maybe Ogando? I know Ogando is very valuable in Texas but I think he would be great as a bottom of the rotation or long reliever for me.
I'd shop Freese around to a team with a worse 3B situation like the Yankees, Dodgers.

If you do Waino + Holliday, you can get much more than Profar + Ogando. Maybe 2-3 B-level prospects on the side.

Okay, I will probably try and do the Wainwright/Holliday for Profar/Ogando and prospects. I'm not too familiar with the Rangers, who would suit the Cardinals well? I probably need some AAA pitching help and a solid backup catcher

        Take Buckel/Grimm/Deglan.

Is it possible to grab Tavares from the cards?
I know its not the most realistic to speak of.

Im playing as the D-backs nearing the trade deadline, the Cards are serious contenders for the WS this year. My D-backs are serious contenders for 1st pick in the June draft.

The Cards need pitching bad as both Carpenter and Wainwrigth are injured for the remainder of the season. (Wain was in 2nd place for the NL CY Young)

There is only 1 person i would like to keep and that is Goldschmidt. All of the others are expendable.

I was thinking Eaton, Kennedy and Archie Bradley.
          To much? To little?

Eaton can take over in RF after 2013. Kennedy can be there nr 3, maybe even nr 2 starter for years to come and Archie is a solid nr 2, maybe even nr 1 starter.
Maybe change Kennedy with Cahill, although Cahill is absolutely horrendous this year

Thanks for all the effort you guys put in this thread!!

I think Bradley+Skaggs+Pollock should do it. Not the most realistic, as I don't think the Cards will settle w/o an OF prospect. Pretty odd pairing of trade candidates.

              Bradley + Owings is fine.

I think that's too little. Owings is a High B, and Bradley is a mid A. Tavares could garner 2 As and a C easily IMO. I haven't looked at the spreadsheet, but his value should = Profar's.

Oscar sheet value: Low A High B High B

Bradley sheet value: High B Mid B Low B

Owings isn't on the sheet but he probably makes up the difference. The surplus value likely works out. It may be a little slight, but someone like Spruill would probably fix that.

                  Profar: High A High B

Profar is way more valuable than Oscar, though.

But this doesnt give them any pitching help for the WS? Like i said wain and carp are both injured. Isnt Owings, Kennedy and spruill something? Or still to much?

Oh OK. I'm on mobile, so I can't get the full sheet. It makes since now that I know the values.

Bradley, Spruill, Owings fits needs and is fair.

Bradley Kennedy and Owings for Taveras and Gast/Maness could work, though.

Can you help me understand why this is? I've seen much more of Taveras' ability than Profar's to really have a great opinion, but Profar's BA in the minors has never really been stellar. It seems like he hovers around .250-.275 and Taveras (when healthy) is consistently over .300. Is it Profar's defense that sets him ahead?

Profar hasn't posted an OBP below .320 in the minors. Most of them were above .340. This coming from a dude who can't even drink.

To put it in perspective, Taveras is 21 and a bit young for AAA. Profar broke into the MLB two years younger. He's a great hitter and an amazing fielder at the most premium of positions.

I'm in August with the Mets, 4 go of the wild card. Looking for a right handed 1B to platoon with Ike Davis and a Spot starting SP so I can limit Wheelers and Harvey's innings like they do in real life. I decided on Kyle Blanks and Tyson Ross from the Padres. Both are I the minors so I could be able to trade for them, Ross's ERA is like 3.9 and Blanks average is like .280 both in triple a. What would it take to get them? Looking to deal prospect/s
