The Mariners can offer you Nick Franklin in return along with someone like James Paxton.

The Phillies have a need for Headley but lacks that true MI prospect your asking for. How about Freddy Galvis as the MI player and you get Cody Asche (3B) and Dom Brown (OF)?

      SP Tim Lincecum

      For

      1B John Singleton

      Here's stats:

      SP Tim Lincecum (A) 29
      2013: 10-16 128SO 5.42 ERA
      2014: 3-4 45SO 4.03 ERA 67 IP 32 BB

      1B John Singleton (A) 22
      AAA 2014: .269 AVG 6 HR 24 RBI 216 AB 33 BB 35 SO .368 OBP

Kind of thinking working out this deal. I have a lot of top prospects, what should I toss in to make this deal realistic? My pitching staff is terrible so I may need to overpay.
Depends, are you in a win now mode? Lincecum would be 30 in that year. Either way, Singleton is the top 1B prospect in baseball, and Lincecum hasn't gotten straight yet. IMO, that's an overpay. I'd say 2 Bs at most (Springer, Cosart). Again, only if you're in win now...

Hmm I like that Phillies one. I'm not necessarily looking for a "prospect" but rather just a younger higher potential middle infielder. My SS/2B is omgbad.

I'll look at that Phillies deal and get back to you. Thanks!

Eh I looked at Galvis and he is only a C, pretty low rated and not very good.

Headley is a 91 overall, A potential and only 28

My gut says no because the Phillies appear to be high on Ruf (plus the salary factor) but if they need arms to chew up innings then they might be willing to part with him since they have a surplus of outfielders... Perhaps I'm reading too much into this.

I just wanted to hear what others had to say on the subject.
              'surplus'

And no, they wouldn't, and Hoch is terrible

Singleton is MUCH more valuable than Lincecum. Do you have Lincecum's DIPS number?

The Pirates could roll the dice on Smoak and they've got plenty of OF to spare. I'm thinking they're moving either Jose Tabata or Alex Presley to get rid of some of that OF depth. Tabata for Smoak?

Hmm I was almost certain he was a B

How about the Twins getting Headley? Miguel Sano is a highly touted 3B prospect for them so I say try and get him and if you want a young MI coming back as well, how about Brian Dozier? The Twins lack prospect depth so they're kinda hard to work something out with.

Sort of random here but how about the Reds? Thinking back at the Latos deal, Jocketty and the Padres have a previous relationship. Todd Frazier and Zack Cozart plus an unnamed C prospect for Headley? Billy Hamilton is off limits...

Well realistically, I'd have roughly 10 million to play with and I'm looking for someone to man Right until Bubba's ready at which point we'll probably move LoCain over there... but with Cain's injury history, I'd look at something a little more long term...

Willingham's good but I don't think the Twins would trade him within the division.

I was looking at guys like Charlie Blackmon and Jordan Schafer and Adron Chambers for a platoon... for full time duty I'd be looking at Domonic Brown (long term financial commitment could be bad) and Avisail Garica (saw an interesting trade on twitter where an analyst suggested Aaron Crow for Garcia straight up... wish I could remember who it was... Probably no because it'd be within the division).

It wouldn't have to be an everyday regular because I'm going to be saddled with Frenchy's contract and I might as well platoon with him. But if I could get rid of him that would be excellent.

Seth Smith is your guy. .283 vs. Frenchy's weak platoon split of RHP.

You're not getting rid of Frenchy's contract easily

No way the Twins trade Sano or really trade for Headley in that matter.
