I probably am. He is a gold glover and gives you a lot of offense out of a position that isn't expected to anymore. Will have to see how he performs this year. Is getting paid a ton of money and the Rockies are projected for a 100 loss season, have no pitching, and a farm ranked at the bottom of the league.NEW YORK GIANTS

Tulo's salary is fairly reasonable for his production when healthy."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

But based on the spreadsheet...if Niese & Ike Davis are High Bs...then no, not enough to deal that entire package for Gonzo._______________Comment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Not quite because of this
Terdoslavich is a 3rd baseman and the rays really don't need a 3rd baseman with Longo locked up. I was thinking more of a middle infield/ utility type prospect because the Rays covet those (Zobrist, Sean Rodriguez etc.) or possibly a pitcher for depthComment

Heck I'm surprised I'm even having to give up a C, I'm only trading for Ryan Roberts lol. The Rays gave up nearly nothing to get him and from reading Rays message boards it sounds like the fans would be willing to give him away lol.Comment

I was actually kinda thinking the Rays should send me a little something back along with Roberts...Last edited by CKW11; 03-31-2013, 07:49 AM.Comment

What positions can Francisco play (at least somewhat well)?"Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Really just 3rd and DH I believe. He could probably play some first but to my knowledge he never has.
Edit: to add to this the Rays have been rumored to like Fransisco in the past.

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Juan can be Longos primary backup at 3rd, and would be a much better offensive option than S Rod in case Longo has to miss some time due to injury. Basically he takes Roberts spot (but has more potential) but can't play 2nd, but with Juan as backup 3rd they can allow S Rod to play more 2nd.Comment

Not particularly, I just really don't like/want Juan and imma big fan of Roberts, so I figured a swap would be pretty straightforward.

Chris Johnson for Roberts + a small something from Tampa wouldn't be too horrible, though. Or Francisco for, like, Sam Fuld (who's a freaking awesome defender)."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Is he before or after Sean Rodriguez and Ben Zobrist and Yunel Escobar? He's not a better offensive option than Rodriguez, who had a BABIP-fueled off year. They also definitely don't need more ways to get S-Rod at 2B, because they have like 20 guys who can play there. A 98 wRC+ in 386 ABs isn't worth giving up a valuable super sub like Roberts.

He also doesn't have a 5% BB rate and 31.3% (!!) K rate."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment
