Yeah I'm not sure how long I'll play this Rockies franchise(haven't decided how many games a season I want to play, etc.) but I do want to acquire a SP.
Price may be too much, but I knew he was a guy that could be moved. What other good pitchers would be on the market? Don't necessarily have to be Price level of good.Saints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment

Pacheco could work but you'd need multiple other pieces."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I think they should move Pacheco to 1B for when Helton retires, or maybe they move Cuddyer to 1B and give some of our OF depth a chance.
I think Arenado will be our 3B for awhile, we haven't had a decent one since the '06-'07 Garrett Atkins...Denver Broncos

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I was going to mention the Longoria factor. They'd probably trade him again for someone else (or perhaps move him to first? Is his bat good enough?). If you put Pacheco in instead of Arenado, the rox would have to deplete their farm more to make up for the loss of valueComment

Realistically, I don't see Harvey going anywhere. He's on fire, and is proving to be too valuable to move. Find a prospect. Check the spreadsheet in the OP of the forum.Mavericks
Cowboys
Rangers
Stars
FC Dallas

If he starts the game, Harvey is still a prospect and not off to the torrid start he is now. Can't bring this season real-life statistics into things.badComment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
More questions about my M's Franchise. Sitting in 1st place in the middle of June. with a 5 game lead. Looking to add a big bat to carry me to the playoffs. I would really like to add Carlos Gonzales from the Rockies.
I made a minor trade, dealing my AA C J. Hicks (rated 71 B) and 1B Ji-Man Choi (rated 65 C) who was batting .361 in 61 AB's in AA for the Indians J. Aguilar (71 B), he was batting 339 with 11 HR in AA. I know he is the #12 prospect for the Indians but he was left unprotected in last year's Rule 5 and on the game the Indians have Swisher,Reynolds and Giambi all at the MLB level, but Hicks instantly becomes their #2 C.
Anyways my plan is now to deal Aguilar to the Rockies who need a young 1B to replace Helton or I could deal Smoak and keep Aguilar for myself, also looking to add in the deal is S. Romero who can play 1B/3B/2B or OF giving the Rockies options at several holes. Then would finish off the package with Ramirez or Paxton, Bevan and maybe Noesi That would be 4 B's and a C for Gonzo.
I know it's realistic, but neither is the M's being in 1st place. According to the spread sheet it looks fair but wanted your opinion.Comment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Also had 1 more question. With Zimmerman locked in at 3B. and with Skoles as their #12 Overall Prospect and also a 3B. There has been rumors that the Nats might be willing to deal their #1 prospect A. Rendon.
What do you think would be a fair deal with my M's roster. I am thinking in case I don't resign Seager or I move Seager to 2B and Ackley leaves or maybe becomes my new super utility guy.
The Nat's are super deep in pitching but still figured they would be interested in Paxton or Walker or maybe SS C. Truinfel who is only a 68 but still A rated and my AA closer C. Smith who has 10 saves and is like a 71 overall B rated. Also thought I could throw in a OF like Thames to give them some depthComment

Mariners and Rangers would be the most realistic options for Stanton. Both are looking to compete and have the farm to pull off a trade

Although fairly, I would say Hultzen+ and another B prospect could possibly get it done.Comment

I like Aguilar, Romero and Ramirez for CarGo. You can throw in Noesi if CarGo is doing really good.
Huge difference between #12 and #1. I don't think the Nats trade Rendon realistically, especially with the arm troubles Zimmerman has been having lately.

Thanks for the feedback.
They way Hutlzen is pitching in my Franchise, I don't plan on dealing him. He could be my #2 if I don't resign Iwakuma to a long term deal. Right now both Walker and Paxton are struggling, but so is Rendon in my Franchise. The crazy thing is that in 2 different Franchises I was messing with before I started posting my newest M's Franchise both Rendon and Skole were available in the Rule 5 draft.Comment
