I can't hit with him in game but even if I could I'm trading him out of principle."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Planning a midseason trade, with neutral stats, what do you guys think I could get for Sergio Santos? Spreadsheet says two high C's but Nestor Molina was a tier 3 B when we traded for him. Would you guys say a Trevor Rosenthal from the Cards who has been knocked down to a tier ~3 B is fair considering Motte's shoulder blew up? They have no adequate replacement and Salas is injured too. Their BP is a huge weakness atm."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

You are just looking for another reliever/closer in return for Santos?Denver Broncos

Didn't they offer Rosenthal up for Stanton or something? Obviously Stanton =/= Santos but he isn't untouchable I wouldn't think."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Yankees franchise, sitting a game back of the Blue Jays/Orioles/Red Sox at the end of May. Middle inning relief has been a big problem, so I'm looking to make a move or two to improve that.
Two main targets right now are Kontos (SFG) and Collins (KC). What do you think of these deals?
Trade #1
NYY Trades:
- OF Ichiro Suzuki (worth Mid B + Low B)
- SS Gil Velazquez (D Pot, throw in so I don't have to release anyone)
SFG Trades:
- RP George Kontos (Mid C Pot)
- SS Joe Panik (Mid/Low B Pot)
At least according to the spreadsheet, I come out ahead on this one, but I feel it's pretty even. Panik is a potential replacement for Jeter, and Kontos fits in nicely as a middle reliever. Ichiro immediately improves their OF, with Pence being the only bright spot (Blanco and Pagan are both hitting sub-.250, but the Giants are holding nicely at 14-12).
Trade #2
NYY Trades:
- OF Melky Mesa (High C) or SP Corey Black (High C)
KC Trades:
- RP Tim Collins (worth High C)
Either seems to fit the bill here, perhaps Mesa holds more value to them with the depth they have at SP?
I'm also considering a trade for later in the season for Carlos Gonzalez, assuming the Rockies are out of it (if they're competitive, I wouldn't even consider it - but they're 11-16 right now, last in the West), so here's the rough framework I'm considering at the moment:
NYY Trades:
- OF Tyler Austin (High B)
- SP Manny Banuelos (Mid-High B)
- 1B Greg Bird (Low B)
- SP Brett Marshall (High C)
COL Trades:
- OF Carlos Gonzalez (worth High B + Mid B + Low B + High C)
- [throw in D-pot, likely a reliever]
Giving up some guys I'd rather hold onto in Austin and Banuelos, but I think this fits the bill nicely. Gonzalez slots into RF, with Gardner in CF, and Granderson in LF through the end of 2013.
I'd love some feedback on all of these potential moves - thanks!Comment

Fairly even trade. They win though.
Banuelos is an unproven B. Austin is a mid B, I've honestly never heard of Bird, and Marshall is pretty good. Honestly, I don't think the Yankees are a fit for CarGo, trade-wise.Red Sox: 2018 World Series Champions!!!

Its kinda hard to deal RP for RP ...If a team needs bullpen help they wont give up a guy like Rosenthall for Santos...your looking for AAA arm what about Al Alberquerque?Comment
