Re: Change New RTTS Presentation
Russell, was there no discussions about leaving the old commentary as an option we could've switched on? I appreciate the changes and the extra lines are great, but dammit I want Matt to call my homers again :P.Comment

Re: Change New RTTS Presentation
Nope, its a different mode with a focus on giving users a different experience from the regular game. There can't be an option for everything there area already too many options in the game as is.
There are also way more reports of people loving the change than those who don't like it.Comment

Re: Change New RTTS Presentation
I'm in between the decision. I kind of like the fact that I don't hear the same things each game but I do miss having the home run calls and such. It's something I and every other RttS player will have to get used to. You can't do anything about it so you may as well just enjoy the game. Still is a lot of fun tho.est 1978

Re: Change New RTTS Presentation
Granted, this may not be able to change this year, but I would like to voice my opinion that everyone would like the option to choose for MLB 14. I really don't think there's such thing as too many choices and there's no reason to limit the choice. The voices are already there, it just needs to be turned on. Giving us a choice loses nothing. People who like no commentary can choose not to have it. People who want it could turn it on.
I'm sure lots of people like it, but there are many who don't just judging by the small sample of voices in here. At least think about giving us the option next year. RTTS is the only mode I play. I just hope you take into consideration for next year.Last edited by kilmar1; 03-05-2013, 11:07 PM.Comment

Re: Change New RTTS Presentation
Does this happen throughout AA, AAA, and MLB?
I kinda like the silence in AA, because I mean, it's AA. Who cares about AA honestly in the end? I was probably thinking that once you get to the majors, you will hear commentary a lot more.Comment

Re: Change New RTTS Presentation
No you don't. The crowds get louder is about all. Matt V. and the gang does not magically reappear for play by play nor are there more color commentaries. It's the same as AA and AAA.Comment

I'm not seeing the glowing response to this terrible choice. It makes the mode terrible, and honestly you really can't even hear that much other than the crowd. Pitcher goes to pick off and you'd think that the first base coach would yell "back!" NOPE!
Bad choice, could have easily decided to make it an option to turn off/on commentary in the mode. Also, why bring in a new color commentator?
I think "error on the play" is the best way to sum up the choice to make a MAJOR change to a popular mode.Comment

Re: Change New RTTS Presentation
Ya, not digging the lack of commentary. Seems very quite. I found it kept me in the game more than take me out of it. I get the response may be positive towards it but I hope everything the masses want or like doesn't become the only way the show starts to be developed here on out. I like the general ideas and direction but there was a huge change this year.
If you're a guy that liked a harder more challenging game, commentary during RTTS and guess pitch to draw walks youre kinda kicked to the curb and asked to change for everyone else.Comment
