What level are you playing on?

All-star, which since 2009 has been the most realistic difficulty... Always provided realistic results. I always hit fine... struggled one game, the next couple very successful...

I cannot hit at all this year. Early on everything, weak dribblers, tons of strikeouts, missing tasty four seam fastballs.

I just don't get it man. Games shouldn't make me feel this way, and The Show has never before been a mind numbing experience. That's how it was always different than Madden. Without the Guess Pitch function it renders me completely useless as a hitter.... this is not real baseball. I am literally wasting hour after hour hitting weak ground balls, striking out, lazy pop flies.... I am so bummed.

I've played the show for the last 4 years and the 1st game I played was in "Beginner" mode. 11 to 2 Yankees win over Cleveland. This year I'm working my way up from the bottom!

That isn't fun IMO destroying teams on an easier mode.

Oh, and btw, using the guess pitch function as a crutch isn't real baseball. The way it's done this year is much closer to real baseball.

I played baseball through college... I can give you a few examples of things in this game that aren't real baseball. You're right, it's a video game and using guess pitch allowed for a thing called approach... and that is real baseball. btw.

There's no patience now. Just swing away... no idea what's coming. Missing four seamers and getting one hit by Ricky Nolasco on a default all star is not real baseball. Striking out 3 and 4 times in a game with studs like Mccutchen is not real baseball... give me a break

You are the only person thats seemd to have this problem. A lot of people have said they are early. But they adjust. Seems like you need to as well.

struck out 20 times.... hit nothing but weak dribblers. Something is different and I would venture to guess a lot of things... just like it was last year before they did the old server side update and fixed broken hitting.

everyone said I was crazy last year when this was going on over on the Playstation forums.... then they patched it... different game hitting-wise. We need a server side update on their end to fix the broken hitting again this year. Just like last year I am not imagining things.

Most of the people who gripe and whine aren't old enough to vote. I was considering taking a year off, as I thought this series was getting stale. I gave in and I'm glad I did. This game is great I am blown away by the improvements across the board

There are guys who convince themselves they're blown away by Madden every year, doesn't mean it's a good game. Just using it as an example

it always has been... but I mean anyone can admit that madden is an absolute mess, yet there are defenders of its greatest flaws year in and year out... there will always be guys who say "That issue does not exist, you must be crazy".

There is something amiss with hitting this year just like there was last year before they did a server side update to fix it. It is broken right now.

It's "broken" for you, no one else has said anything like this to my knowledge unless they're new to the game and trying to skip Beginner mode. I struggled hitting last year and I was using Guess Pitch on every pitch, this year I have yet to use Guess Pitch and my hitting has improved substantially.
