Re: strikeout totals way too low is franchise
What gameplay engine problem are you taking about?I may be wrong about what I am about to say.
If SCEA did not lower pitchers K/9 and Plate Vision, then in human vs cpu games, the k/9 problem will still be prevalent. However, a person will have to play at least 60 game to see this trend rear its ugly head.
Regarding the edits I made, now that the game has been patched, if you edit my roster file, raise (add to) each hitters plate vision by 6 and lower (subtract from) each pitchers k/9 and bb/9 rating(s) by 3.
The sim engine is fixed, but what about the gameplay engine over the long haul of a season? Guess many will find out. I hope it is fixed.

my disc is fine too. I mean that if the k/9 and plate vision ratings are still too high, then when a human plays the cpu, there still MAY be low k/9. maybe not; I am no expert. I hope it is fixed.Comment

Ok. I think I see what you're saying. Let me clarify.
The K/9 sim engine issue was a balancing issue with how the ratings were interpreted, so-to-speak, by the sim engine itself.
The actual player ratings and how they interact with the gameplay engine has been working as designed since launch.
Now, if you disagree with how players are rated, and how that translates on the field, that's a totally different issue in itself. But that's not called a bug, per say. That's called a difference of opinion (or different ratings calculator/criteria, at the very least).Comment

Re: strikeout totals way too low is franchise
The league leaders in strikeouts were still really low for me. Am I doing something wrong? It doesn't seem like this is resolved to me.
The league leader had something around 180 strikeouts and after him it went down to 160<
Suggestions? What is making it work for others now? The patch did nothing.Comment

Re: strikeout totals way too low is franchise
Now that SCEA has fixed the K/9, if you minus -7 from the default plate vision ratings of all MLB players, you will see the correct K/9 (7.5% league wide. Just a tid-bit of information. Also, raise all Pitcher's K/9 by 7 and lower BB/9 by 3.Comment

No. I tried to input my ratings into the hybrid set, but, they decided to use their own ratings; some kind of Zips 2013 Projections, instead of the real stats from 2010-2012.Comment
