First off, I want to say thanks for this thread, because I have been lost on what to do until the OS rosters come out. This was a perfect solution and along with all drafts, I had some picks I enjoyed, and picks I regret lol. I got the first pick and was excited lol but then I found out quickly it was a snake draft. I went for a combo of players I really like and players I figured had good trade value. This obviously isn't too realistic so I'm not going to treat it as such, so I have budgets off. But I'm in spring training and I am finding it hard to make a deal for anybody. I had to trade my A potential 18 year old first baseman for The Beard. It stung a little, especially after finding out the fact that he will most likely retire at the end of every postseason. But here are my results, can't remember the order with the exception of Trout #1 overall.
Pick #- 1
C- Jarrod Saltalamacchia, Derek Norris
1B- David Ortiz, Anthony Rizzo, Yonder Alonso
2B- Some A prospect named Steven Castro who is starting for me.
3B- Arod, Pedro Alvarez, Mike Olt
SS- Jeter, Ruben Tejada
OF- Bryce Harper, Johnny Damon, Starling Marte
OF- Mike Trout, Lorenzo Cain, Colby Rasmus
OF- Jason Heyward
P- Roy Halladay
P- Chris Carpenter
P- Ryan Vogelsong
P- Dylan Bundy, Trevor Bauer, Jacob Turner, Shelby Miller, Tyler Skaggs, Julio Teheran
P- Mariano
Any Prospects- I'm gonna use the not real ones, 2B Steven Castro, 3B Sammy Torres, SP Jose Garcia, RP Aaron Rosales, 3B Jonas Garlobo, 1B Herb Berry (traded him for Brian Wilson and Bud Norris. Devastating), RP Willy Zarate, RF Richard Sheridan, RF Kurt Wilson. These were all the A's I drafted as prospects.
I like my team, but clearly this team is not meant for anything long term. I took Vogelsong hoping to trade him because he's not particularly fun to use, but so far I can't trade/trade for anybody.

sorry to be a debbie downer, but Harper going in the 5th round is just absurd. It sounds like the computer drafts for one season only, with no regard for the future.
