    Re: Fantasy Draft Results Thread

So I've gone and turned it around now, focussing on my lineup before pitching, first 8 rounds were positions, then CP, final position, SP's then bullpen and backups...

    Rotation
    Edinson Volquez
    Rickey Romero
    Michael Pineda
    Trevor Cahill
    Dylan Bundy

    Bullpen
    CP David Hernandez
    SU Joakim Soria
    Addison Reed
    Esmil Rogers
    Tom Layne
    Dan Straily
    Drew Pomeranz

    Positions
    C Wilin Roasrio
    1B Billy Butler
    2B Brett Lawrie
    3B Chase Headley
    SS Asdrubel Cabrera
    LF Ryan Braun
    CF Ben Revere
    RF Dexter Fowler

    C Devin Mesoraco
    DH Logan Morrison
    UTIL Chris Stout
    OF Alberto Valencia
    OF J.D. Martinez

    Contact 8th
    Power 11th
    Defense 23rd
    Pitching 30th
    Speed 4th
    Overall 21st

So there you go, better overall than going all pitching but still not that great... Probably goes to show that you need a good mix of bit to be successful in fantasy drafts... Hope you guys enjoyed reading my little experience... Can't wait for OSFM to drop so I can get into my proper fantasy drafts, though not lookin forward to having to draft the full 90 round because the CPU sucks at getting the teams/positions balanced...

EDIT: just seen the OSFM have arrived, here we go ...

Loving seeing these new OSFM drafts, a lot more variety than before, I will admit that I am not as familiar with a lot of the young players as I would like (I'm from Australia so I'm at a slight disadvantage) but I'm looking forward to getting in and having a look at which pick numbers are best, I have noticed that Stanton goes early in the second, makes me think that a late first round pick and an early second round pick could provide an interesting team... I'll post some results ASAP...

                        Byron Buxton
                        Dylan Bundy
                        Noah Syndergaard
                        Gerrit Cole

I'm Set for life with this team
I like the Twins representing wih Lindor and Buxton. Alex meyer Im excited ab too. How does he play ?? And wht ab Puig ? I know nothing ab him. Do you care to share wht you know ab him ??

I also give a big thumbs up for playing your favorite Yankees. I like any time someone sticks with their all time faves. Even if it's the last ride.

Jedd Gyorko is a top notch 2b prospect. If you move profar over after this year. I jus mention it cause maybe you can get him on the cheap now. Although Lindor at 3b Machado SS profar 2b. Next year too
I play MLB exclusively with my cousin. Usually looking for info on Franchises. We played minor league baseball as 9-10 YOs on the Zephyrs.

                          Re: Fantasy Draft Results Thread

I find myself drafting basically only young stars and I feel like I'm kind of cheating the system. You can stock up on young guys and sim a season or two and be far and away the best team. Does anyone control themselves by only allowing themselves to draft a few top 100 prospects or players like Trout and Harper?

Im jus throwin my 2 cents out. Idk your perspective exactly for your build. I jus think you can stock up on some talent for the minors and little better bench. But you have the key cogs in key situations. So I think your team will execute good. I also like the cardinal swagger.

Dude I find myself going back and forth with this with every pick I make. I can't do it for pitchers and try my best to just get 1-2-year pros. My lineup I have drafted and traded for is this.

SS Danny Espinosa ( hitting 400 for me so I gotta play him here )
                              Lf Bryce Harper
                              DH Jay Bruce
                              Rf Giancarlo Stanton
                              1b Freddie Freeman
                              3b Mike Moustakas
                              2b Jason Kipnis
                              C Salvador Perez
                              CF Desmond Jennings

Starling Marte , manny Machado , will middlebrooks , Anthony Ruff

                              Jeff Smardjza
                              Jaime Garcia
                              Wie yen Chen
                              Jarrod Parker
                              Felix Doubront

                              Lance lynn
                              Quintana
                              Eduardo Sanchez
                              Mitchell Boggs
                              Antonio Bastardo
                              Jim Johnson
                              Jason Motte

I had Bauer and bundy but idk how they will play so I shipped them. Starling Marte was over performing for me so I put home in a lesser role and added Jennings. Who plays even. Machado has good d which is all I wanted him for but Espinosa is on fire plus he's not a prospect as much. Everyone on my bench pretty much is because of that. BUT big BUT we can have loaded minor leaguers lol I'm the cardinals too lol

Okay so I finally got around to doing a fantasy draft with these OSFM rosters and I must say I'm impressed so far... 28th pick I the first round, here's how I went...

                                Rotation
                                Brandon McCarthy

                                Ricky Romero

                                Dylan Bundy

                                Bullpen
                                CP Kenley Jansen
                                SU Andrew Bailey
                                Bruce Rondon
                                Esmil Rogers
                                Rex Brothers
                                Sean Gilmartin
                                Dan Straily

                                C Pablo Sandoval
                                1B Paul Goldschmidt
                                2B Manny Machado
                                3B Evan Longoria
                                SS Brandon Crawford
                                LF Giancarlo Stanton
                                CF Austin Jackson
                                RF Josh Red d i c k

                                C Christian Bethancourt
                                3B Nolan Arenado
                                SS Trevor Story
                                OF Jackie Bradley
                                OF Byron Buxton

                                Contact 20th
                                Power 6th
                                Defense 3rd
                                Pitching 22nd
                                Speed 8th
                                Overall 18th

I'm extremely happy with this team, rotation is a bit underdone but they'll get better, Stanton and Longoria in the heart of my lineup, supported by Sandoval and Goldschmidt, might even out us down for an outside chance at a playoff appearance this year if the rotation can perform well enough, definitely got the batting order for it... Thoughts???
