How do you change the size of the meter? I pitch on broadcast or outfield camera.

    Thanks
You can only edit the meter with a custom camera. Thus, with a modified meter, you can pitch from any camera angle except broadcast.

Go to Camera editing world, press triangle, and it will switch over to "Meter Edit" mode. You can adjust everything from there. If you don't want to use a custom camera, just pick a preset for the camera you want.

Day 1 analog user here. Absolutely love it. Vrry intuitive and works well. Also its tough enough on higher difficulty levels so its not as easy to be pinpoint accurate like meter pitching. Love analog batting too.

I'm with you on this. It feels like you are interacting with the game far more using pure analog for pitching, hitting and fielding. When you're pitching with the bases loaded to me you feel the pressure more knowing you have to get your mechanics right rather than just pressing a button.

Exactly 100% why I love Analog pitching.

              Re: Pure Analog Pitching

I really like analog pitching too. It feels most realistic to me. Maybe someone can help with the one difficulty I am having with it. I prefer a camera angle from behind the pitcher looking towards the plate--pretty much straight on. My challenge is that while I can work the right side of the plate relatively effectively, I have a much bigger problem on the left side. I often have a very difficult time trying to hit spots when pitching there. Usually I either will miss way inside or alternatively leave it close to the middle of the plate. Very rare for me to hit that corner. I think it is purely a function of the way the controller is designed and I find it much easier "pulling" with the thumb towards the right corner as opposed to "pushing" when aiming to the left side of the plate if you know what I mean. I've tried changing my hand position on the controller with some varied success. If I was more coordinated with my left hand, I might use my left thumb to pitch to that side-unfortunately I'm not. I realize no one can help with "user coordination" issues, but was wondering if anyone else had this problem and if they were able to overcome it. It's difficult to pitch consistently being able to work only one side of the plate effectively. Any suggestions?

I had exactley the same problem with my pitching (and batting) with the analog stick too Joe. I started to hold the stick between my thumb and index finger rather than just using my thumb, position index finger at 12 o'clock and thumb at 6 (holding the rim not directley on top). At first it feels awkward but after a while I was able to be far more accurate at hitting the areas I wanted. Don't forget pure analog batting is very similar in it's working to the pitching as you have to push up left or right if the pitch is aimed at inside or outside the plate, so it helps with batting accuracey too, and I find it easy to hold back and check my swing.

Analog is the only way to go. Most fun and rewarding.

When pulling back, try starting your thumb more toward 5 o'clock. That way, when you shoot upward, your thumb naturally wants to go a bit up and left. Figure out that "happy spot" that you like between 5:00 and 6:00, and you might start having success over there.

Thanks for the suggestions guys--appreciate it! I will give both a try and see if they work for me. I'm going to figure it out and not give up as I really like the whole analog pitching system. And I am sort of am glad I won't be mastering it any time soon--it adds to the realism of pitchers not commanding every pitch. Plus I do get that extra realism--that feeling of dread a real pitcher must get when they know they've just missed their spot and it's heading right down the middle. In The Show they don't miss many mistakes

What difficulty are you guys using and where are your pitcher consistency and control sliders at?

I know everybody is talking about hitting being not being as hard as in the past but personally I find analog pitching extremely easy this year (on All-Star). Even if I lower the Human pitching sliders and raise them for the CPU hitting. And I'm playing on the Vita with it's tiny Analog Sticks. It's almost like that if I don't throw meatballs on purpose there is no way that I will get hit. I moved up to HOF now. Have started playing The Show this year in January so I'm actually quite a beginner still.

This is the only way to pitch and I'm gonna go ahead a give my homeboy Bobhead a shout out right here and say that he makes the best slider set out there and its anny pitching so stop with the no slider makers use it. I've been using his sets for years now (when did you start 09 or was it 10) and they have always been my prefect set.

As far as the mechanic goes though since its geared to the pitchers delivery I wish they would just make an easy option to turn off the meter. I love pitching in boardcast mode since its different for every park but you can't have boardcast and get rid of the meter it sucks.

Yeah I've been hoping for just a generic "broadcast" editable option for the pitching meter. You CAN edit the meter within each team's broadcast camera. It only takes a minute to do this after you've made the initial edit. I do this when I'm playing on the road; change the camera to the home team and then move the meter (if necessary) to where I want it.

I used Analog in 11, Classic in 12 and for 13 will be using Analog again. Tried Classic on 13 but I really don't want to play 13 the same way I did 12 (I'd just stick with 12) so I am moving back to Analog.

So I'm on HOF Analog Pitching now. Pitcher Control at 3 and Consistency at 2; CPU Contact and Timing at default, CPU Power at 4 and Solid Hits at 3.
And still so far analog pitching seems very easy, even on HOF with sliders that should rather make it more difficult.

How do you guy manage to make it more challenging?

Depends on what you are seeing in terms of contact. If the computer is making contact but not hard hit, then up the solid hits. Also be careful that it's not just a couple games with your sample size because I've found that sometimes you will just catch a team in a slump and sometimes a team will catch you on a hitting tear. I've had games where I've felt man this is easy and next thing I know six runs have scored in the ninth and I've blown a save.

I've been using pulse, but I've always used analog in years past and actually I feel analog is more difficult so I might switch back to that.
