Comebacks aren't an issue with me with regardless to the opponent comebacks. I do a good job of keeping the opponent down after I score. It's usually an easy 1,2,3 inning. My worst inning pitching is the 1st. In my 3-game series with the Phillies I gave up 1 run, 3 runs and 3 runs in the 1st inning of each game. Oh and the 9th. I tend to give up some runs in the 9th. That game I was talking about in the other post I was down 4-1 going to the top of the 9th and managed to give up 4 more runs.

On the flip side I seem to be a beast at coming back and winning in the late innings.

Balks on online play is way too sensitive. The Show plays like an arcade game now, you can't work the counts. Commentary is the same old boring crap. The replays and interesting video cuts and theatric replays of home runs are gone.

Pitching speed is too slow, some players don't have their real pictures. The only thing I like are the weekly challenges. Other than that MLB 12 overall is a much better game.

Also all the 2 out hits the computer is able to get against me.

I gave up another 6 run lead late in the game vs. the Brewers. I was crushing them 8-1 and Vance Worely had 10 k's in though 5 1/3. He started to get wild and I loaded the bases but only gave up one run thanks to my relief pitcher.

Burton (84 overall) and Glenn Perkins (91) got shelled in the 8th and gave up 5 runs. Kenley Jansen (93) came in with a one run lead and gave up tieing and winning runs.

This happens to me a lot.

Base running has been frustrating for me.
Tight ball game, guys on 1st/2nd w/ 2 out. Base hit to left, I think I'm going to send my runner, then change my mind. I decide to send him back with the R button - bad decision as my guy who was heading to 2nd hadn't quite reached yet and decides to go back to 1st. They throw it to 2nd, rally over.

Re: Frustrating moments of the show

Playing as the Nationals for the third straight year (they were my rebuilding project back then) and I was trying a comeback in the ninth. I got a runner into scoring position with no outs. I move him to third with one out. Now, last year, I would have squeezed him in but I thought "I have hitters this year." I then proceeded to hit the pitcher in the leg twice in a row.

That is probably my biggest gripe, as well as the cause for most my frustration.

Other causes of frustration come from getting a fastball out of the zone high after receiving a curveball that was a called strike. I always swing expecting it to break. Also curveballs and change-ups low as well as the outside slider. I just want fastballs, and by fastballs I mean 4-seamers.

Let's see, I'll start with the games when I'm facing someone's ace and hit the ball all over the yard in the first, start feeling confident and then can't touch the guy the rest of the game.

Another would be when I'm ahead in the count waiting for MY pitch, only to flail at a looping curve that looks like a meatball but somehow ends up in the dirt.

Re: Frustrating moments of the show

I held the Blue Jays to 1 run though 8 and I had a 3-1 lead heading into the bottom of the 9th. I had only allowed two hits all game.

Kenley Jansen came in to lock up the save. Bautista singled, Encarn singled. Lind hit a home run on a cutter low and away just outside the left corner of the strike zone.

                  Game over.

                  So frustrating.

Any time an animation goes into the what I call "cool pull-up jog" with runners on base. Can't break out of it. I yell at the TV "throw the ball!"

I also switched to No Feedback on the throw meter and IF grounders on defense are working much better now. Seems the boot up for the meter, visually, was causing some issues as far as getting rid of the ball quickly when I needed to, on DPs and the like.

Working the count, getting bases loaded - no one out, and then have the CPU foul pop me up & thenstrike me out twice to end the inning.

I dont understand why i have such an issue in the 9th inning. I do everything by the book and I've tried all the suggestions ive read on here. I bet I only allow an average of 2 runs per game at most. When I get to the ninth inning I blow the save half the time.

I understand that there isn't supposed to be catch up AI but is there a clutch rating? If there is a clutch rating then how does it effect the game?

Since I picked up The Show and a PS3 around last October, I can honestly think of one time off the top of my head that I actually blew a save, which was with Huston Street and was just because I was too aggressive in the outfield (diving and missing really hurts you, lol). Do you give up a rally of hits or the long ball? Walks also hurt, especially in the late innings. The computer definitely takes advantage of all the momentum it gets, and it's deff easier to close the game out while giving up a hit with 2 outs as opposed to giving up a leadoff single
