I'm two games into my season. I simmed the rest of the season post-patch and the K numbers looked good. So I'm guessing current franchises/seasons are good to go with the patch.

I tested this myself too.

9 games in I simmed to the end of the season and the league averaged just under 6.6 SO per team per game.

6 players finished with over 200 K's.

3 teams hit over .270.

These were easily, far and away, the best results I have seen to date.

So to answer the question, I agree with the quoted above. You do not have to restart your current Franchises to see the benefits of the new patch.

So wait a minute? We can no longer use 'Timing' hitting at all online? I only play unranked Co-op with my friend, we can no longer do this?

Seriously disappointed. Had the stutter a bit in 12, never in 13, and first game after the patch, I'm doing the warm-up and I have the stutter. Irritating.

Rebuild your PS3 database, & then you should be good to go.

Forgive me if this was mentioned somewhere else but I couldn't find it.

Has the home field advantage been fixed in the NL wild card game? I believe some had mentioned that the 2nd placed team was getting home field every time.

I checked this too when I simmed my season, and the correct teams were at home for the wild-card game. That was the only test I ran, but it was at least correct that one time.

Ive never had a stuttering problem in-game (during a game) before or after the patch. I was having a music stuttering problem in menus before the patch, never slowed anything down while I was navigating menus in my franchise, so I never mentioned it. The music would just stutter on a frequent basis, it was only mildly annoying. Post-patch though, its gone. I'm glad as it could get irritating as I was trying to figure out a trade to make or roster moves in the minors lol.

Downloaded the patch and fired up the game as soon as I hit the door.

No more first pitch meatballs. No more pitch stutter and the game seems to run on balance a lot smoother. Pre patch my game must have been screwed royally because the swing analyzer would tell me I was early when I knew I had to be late and vice versa. It's fixed now. Well I see what they meant about hitting is easier this year. Played using the same sliders and hitting is much too easy now. Ready to get schooled on HOF hitting I guess.

Great job by the devs cleaning up this game as quickly as they did. It plays like a dream now.

Rebuild your PS3 database, & then you should be good to go.

My PS3 is only about a month old, but I just rebuilt my database. Maybe it will work.

Small sample size but through 4 innings i've had 4 meatballs to start the inning....anyone else?

Post patch impressions: Sony splash screen loads MUCH faster, as well as the menus are faster & smoother. gameplay is extremely smooth. MAJOR props to the SCEA team.
