For the past few days, the game has decided to freeze playing online and in franchise mode. This makes the game unplayable for me. I've researched numerous forums and tried numerous tactics. I've restored the file system, rebuilt the database, deleted and reinstalled the gm, quadruple checked Internet settings and port forwarding, made sure the system wasn't over heating, and attempted to play the game on 3 different PS3's (all newer slim models). Not one of these methods has resolved the freezing issues (online and offline). I have 20 losses online and 15 of those are because of this issue. I think I have a 5 gm losing streak with each loss being caused by a freeze and while I was leading. I also deleted my current franchise and all old file saves from other games in hopes that freeing up memory would enhance performance. Nothing has worked.

At this point, it's clearly the game/disc. No other game has ever done this. I'm not sure whether to exchange the gm for another copy or what. Sony must step up to the plate and resolve this issue. Sony makes a great game and it's time we all fully enjoy it.

*Broadcast commentary and in game stadium sounds are missing during each one of my freezes. The only in game sound is the crowd and baseball sounds, which aren't in sync either.

FWIW, mine was freezing when I used a wireless controller.

My PS3 got the YLOD the other day, so between that and the fact I hardly got to play the show this year, it kind of sucks. I really dont feel like spending $200 on a new PS3 when the PS4 is supposed to come out at the end of the year. Especially since The Show is the only game I would play until then.

I tried MLB 2k12 for PC but the player models are terrible and it really does not compare to the show at all(modded stadiums are very nice tho). I will probably get OOTP14 or another sim baseball game to get my baseball fix.

I really do hope they fix the freezing issues for you guys, the game is just so good not to play and it was a very tough decision not to buy another PS3 just for this game. BTW I dont think the freezing contributed to mine getting the YLOD.

Looking forward to MLB 14 and how incredible that game should be.

I had no problems until recent patch and after I did an in-game save in franchise and now it freezes in my franchise games. I know its going to happen because the audio cuts in and out during the game.

I've had the same exact experience in an offline franchise and online league and online rates match.

The freezing problems in this game is ridiculous. I've bought the show since 09 and this is the only game I play on my ps3. I can't even get one game in on franchise mode for the first time ever I'm forced to play 2k13. Scea has really dropped the ball on this

Well, after playing a lot of games post patch without a freeze, I've now had a freeze in two of my last 3 games. Appears its not resolved. I love this game and its by far my favorite version ever of The Show, but I may have to call it quits. I can't risk destroying a brand new PS3 because of this. Worst part is, I got the digital version so I can't even trade it in.

Update - Since I exchanged the game for another copy, it hasn't frozen once. I uninstalled and reinstalled the game and it has worked like it should.

The other I thing I haven't done is select any songs for the Sounds of the Show. This is one of my favorite features, but I have a feeling the sounds could be causing the issue since the jukebox music still stutters when navigating menus within the game.

Perhaps I've narrowed it down to two variables (1) a potential defective disc, (2) Sounds of the Show...do any of you have sounds of the show music files added to the teams/players/jukeboxes? Try removing them and see if you have anymore issues or also try exchanging the disc.

Hadn't had any freezing issues up until now that I started Franchise mode. It only happens when I am in the roster management screen (still in spring training right now if that makes any difference). I can't get in more than 5 minutes of calling guys up, sending guys down, etc. before the game freezes in the middle of one of these transactions. What is going on and how to I fix this?? Very aggravating.

Wow, now it freezes at the loading screen and I can't even get into my franchise. This is really pissing me off now.

1.) Downloaded copy.

2.) No sounds of the show.

The PA audio cuts out for most of the game and if it does work, it's extremely delayed. I also hear intermittent static. My game will freeze during any franchise game but will often come back anywhere from 30-120 seconds. Makes it very difficult to play. Is this similar to the issues you guys have been having?

I made it about 50 games into my offline franchise without any issues. I turned it on the other day to play a game and the commentary is completely gone. I'll get through the top of the first but it's very laggy in response times and I'm behind every pitch I swing at. Then at some point in the bottom of the first, the game completely locks up and the PS3 is frozen. I've tried simming past that game to other games and I get the same freeze in the bottom of the first every time.

This didn't happen at all until 1.21 came out...

The screen froze during first game of regular season of MoM. It happened after a bunt and the runner was tagged out by my first baseman, Adrian Gonzalez. I have the digital version installed.

I am patiently awaiting a patch to fix this problem. I have not played because of this. It was silly to me to play a franchise game 3 and 4 times to complete it
