Re: MLB 14 Wishlist: Franchise/Season Mode

MLB 14 Wishlist: Franchise/Season mode if you could have any feature, addition, tweak what would it be? Remember you can only choose two.

    1. Statistics: Recording all major stats from year to year, not just the AVG, H, HR, RBI for hitters or W L S ERA for pitchers. Doesn't have to be directly on the baseball card, maybe press an additional button? I would love to see Walks, OBP, Stolen Bases, SLG, OPS, WAR, Strikeouts for hitters and GP, Ks, BB, IP, Complete Games, HR/9, K/9, BB/9, WAR for pitchers so we can have a better idea of how players perform over time. I've been wishing for this in a baseball game since I played All-Star Baseball 2004 haha.

    2. Offseason: More control over contracts for all players - contracts would be more realistic if we could specify the exact number of dollars for each year (so we could back- or front-load the contract or whatever they do in real life), negotiate new contracts mid-season or before the previous contract is up, and offering money to cover parts of contracts during trades.

I would absolutely buy MLB 14 if I knew these were added! Thanks for asking for consumer-input for the next game, that is rare and awesome for a company to do!

      1. New intros. Show fans coming in, eating, getting to their seats.
      2. Weekly TV recap ala NFL 2K5

            1. Editable League structure/team names/ uniform etc. - this would be very beneficial to the historical roster makers (28 team franchises with expansion). Also would allow for things like fictional leagues (think about how many play the ootp series)

            2. Enhanced position player stamina and injury logic - it can be frustrating when 5 or even 6 of your starting 9 need rest due to the player fatigue. I honestly believe "days off" IRL have more to do with nagging minor injuries that aren't always disclosed to the public than due to fatigue. I'd also like to see more minor injuries like sore shoulders or a generic "knee inflammation" that can be easily played through and don't affect performance tremendously but give incentive to pull a player in the 7th with a decent lead or to give an off day to.

1- Ability to recreate histrocial franchises, ie fixed amount of teams

2- Built in player editor in which we can enter stats for players and the show can generate the attribute ratings. Along with this, would be great to be able to load a player photo to the system and let the show scan and replicate the players face in the game

                1. The ability to resign players in season. Instead of worrying if I have enough money to keep all the guys I want at the end of the season, I could sign one and get the money along the way to resign another and so on.

                2. Build a stadium. It doesn't have to be super complicated. Make it like Madden 2005. Say you want to build a stadium for your A's franchise. You have certain options to setup your stadium (wall distance, foul territory size, seating locations, etc.) which makes the stadium cost a certain amount of money depending on which options you chose and you could ask the city you play in to provide funds to help build the stadium.

                    1. Accurate Prospects Ok...i realize that you cant have minor leaguers...but. Why not do what NCAA football does. Have players that are sort of like them. For example...Make a topic Yankee prospect a C named Guy Suarez or the TB OF prospect Bill Weyers etc. In the same way that games use to have Barry Bonds...but it wasnt Barry. At least do this for the top 50 prospects or the teams top 5 prospects. Give the guys appropriate ratings etc

                    2. Divide player ratings into skills and attributes (speed, power, arm, velocity etc would be more like attributes) these things should not move as much from age or training. Skills like hitting, vision, feilding, control etc that should change more with training, maturation and decline.

                      1. It would be amazing if for season mode you could start your season at the current date with current stats a la nba 2k13. This would eliminate a lot of the complaining about starting a season all over again because of new roster updates especially those of us who like to keep a season in line with the real life season. It would be beneficial if you don't like playing online seasons.

                        1. Add Co-op Online Season mode. Just like the current co-op season where you can play on a single console with someone, but make an online option. I'm not sure how the save file would work, if both would need it, or if maybe one of the players is the "main" user, and the other player just joins their game after they have loaded that season.

                        2. Add Single A teams.

                            1) More of a "bells and whistles" kind of thing, but it would be nice if there was some sort of acknowledgement to players newly joining a team, via a trade, signing, call-up, etc. Same goes for players who left and could still be mentioned (or if they return playing against them).

                            2) Finally, the one cold spot in console sports video games...

If ya'll find that way to import a franchise/RTTS file from one product to the next, this series would be timeless.

                              1. Stat tracking from year-to-year for all major stats like walks, stolen bases, on-base percentage, and OPS.

                              2. A trade finder, Click on the player or player(s) you want to trade and the AI will show you what they'll give you.

                                1. Ability to edit/create managers/coaches like we can with players now.

                                2. Have a full franchise mode with prorated dates that is about 80-84 games long.
