Re: Unrealistic stats continuing
Michael Bourn stole 80 bases in my Franchise in 2013 season.....80 BASES!!
That was the only really "whoaa" stat that I've seen in this game so far."It Makes Sense If You Don't Think About it"

Re: Unrealistic stats continuing
I've seen Prince Fielder win the batting title with a .306 average (in 2013 as well). He was the only .300 hitter that year.Comment

GOD, Please don't flame or attack me, As I am a show fanatic, But I don't play RTTS. So I am just asking.. First question, with all the editors that the game allows, Can someone make an editor outside the game that allows you to do global edits to a specific rating. Second, As I said, I don't play RTTS, I am a total franchise player.. And stats, realism are very important to me.. But I have noticed that the slider settings and game level control the outcome of stats in simmed games as well as played games in Franchise mode.. I can set sliders and play level, sim through a season, check stats, don't save, then change sliders and game level and sim the exact same league again, and the stats will be different. We do this over and over until we get a pretty ave balance, Then save those settings and start our franchise. As players progress, change and retire, so do stats, So at the start of a new season, we do it again making adjustments until we are satisfied. Nothing is perfect, But it does a great job for us as best as possible. Would this not work for RTTS.. Again I am just asking making a suggestion trying to help, If it don't work that way I apologize. Maybe sliders and levels are different for that style of play..Last edited by CleveCluby; 10-24-2013, 12:48 AM.When I do something right, No one ever remembers.

I think nobody has really attempted to create an editor that can do global edits you speak of. The Show game save files are (I believe) still encrypted and there are some mechanism that prevents users from casually editing them manually.GOD, Please don't flame or attack me, As I am a show fanatic, But I don't play RTTS. And most sliders don't really work for simmed games, so while your idea sounds promising it doesn't solve the issue unfortunately. The best we can hope for at the moment is that the player progression system improves enough next year to provide more stable stats over long time.Comment

Re: Unrealistic stats continuing
Thanks, Wasn't sure about the Utility editor, sure would be nice though, maybe put that option on a wish list. As far as sliders and Levels goes, I can't argue with you. All I can tell you is it makes a huge difference for us in our league. I guess it could be just a coincidence, But if we change them drastically, it changes stats drastically. Once we balance and set them to our liking, we can sim over and over and continue to get close to the same results. We have done this with every Show we have owned, and that's all of them... Once again, this is in FRANCHISE mode only, that is all we play.. Now you have made me want to do more testing for my own satisfaction.. Dam you.. LOL.. Here I go again.. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh. When I do something right, No one ever remembers.

I think the season/franchise stats are not so bad within the first couple years. But after several years, we start seeing offense totally dominating. Thanks, Wasn't sure about the Utility editor, sure would be nice though, maybe put that option on a wish list. I don't know how many years you got in, but at least that's what people are talking about. We see similar trends in both season/franchise and RTTS, because player progression system is similar in many respects.Comment

Re: Unrealistic stats continuing
By the way my intention isn't arguing either. I'm generally too tired of life to do that :P
We are just pointing out part of the game that we hope to see some improvement, since the concern is indeed real. That's all.Comment

This has to be fixed for MLB 14. I really hope they look into a true fix.Comment

Re: Unrealistic stats continuing
Thanks again guys, You might have a point, Usually we don't go much past 10 years per game. Meaning until a new SHOW is released. We start out by creating ourselves and joining a team in the AA minor leagues in Franchise mode. We play most of our Minor league games and sim our Major league teams throughout the season, The following year, we move to AAA and do the same, Year 3 is optional, we can come to the Majors if we are ready or spend another year in the minors.. Year 4 everyone has to move to the Majors.. from there we play our Major league games for about 6 years..we watch our careers develop and then we kinda sim out the rest of the years until we retire.. We watch the stats pretty close for those first 10 years, After that it's really just about us.. And no, We don't make ourselves super stars either. We all have 2 favorite positions. My primary is second base and pitcher. So we find the player we love best at that position and create him using at max 60% of his ratings and place him on our chosen team. The other player is placed in the Free Agency and we see where he goes and ends his carer. Thanks again for your input, so much can be learned from these boards to make a great game even more of an experience.. At my age and health, It's the only way I can still play BB..When I do something right, No one ever remembers.
