Re: What is your RTTS pitcing repertoire?

-4 seam fastball 96-101 mph (my main strikeout pitch, it's nasty up in the zone)
-changeup (Good when they foul off the fastball, especially on the outside corner)
    - sinker (down and outside to lefties, down and in to righties)
-curveball (good to get over early, occasionally a strikeout pitch)
-slider (rarely throw, I would prefer a cutter honestly, but it's too late now)

Basically I'm a power pitcher who loves throwing the fastball up in the zone late in the count and daring them to touch it. If they're on it, I'll throw a changeup or curveball to try getting them out in front of it. My defense is suspect at times, so I need the strikeout pitches.

I have a cardinals pitcher and get Ronny cedeno and Ty wiggington up the middle lol
I play MLB exclusively with my cousin. Usually looking for info on Franchises. We played minor league baseball as 9-10 YOs on the Zephyrs.

        LHP with Felix Hernandez's delivery

        4 seam fb
        Slider
        Changeup
        Cutter
        Screwball

I guess I'm the first here to use a screwball, but I love it.

Made a Japanese starting pitcher in RTTS for the hell of it.

Liked the idea of making a knuckle ball pitcher so went with this line up.

          Screwball
          Sweeping Curve
          Knuckle Curve
          Knuckle

Thinking of either adding a 5th with Cutter or taking out one as a 5 variation starting pitcher doesn't seem quite fair or very realistic in the type of pitcher I'm going with.

Re: What is your RTTS pitcing repertoire?

            2 Seam Fastball (99 velocity, 75 control, 50 break)
Circle Change (99 velocity, 60 control, 60 break)
            Slurve (99 velocity, 50 control, 70 break)

That's it. I made a tall lefty power pitcher and focused on maxing out his velocity the first two seasons. The two seamer tops out around 97 MPH and the circle change is roughly 10 MPH slower with the same movement. I primarily stick with the fastball/changeup combo early on and try to overpower lefties with fastball up and in and to trick righties with the changeup low and away. I only occasionally throw in the slurve (same speed as the changeup, but breaks much harder and in the opposite direction) and try to get lefties to chase it sweeping away and out of the zone on two strike counts. I seldom throw it to righties though and when I do I do it the second or third time through the order and I'll try to throw it back door on the first pitch of the AB for a strike. It usually throws them off and freezes them.

I'm in my 4th season now and am having a breakout year after three merely above average years. Leading the league in almost every category (17-4 with a 2.13 ERA, 0.94 WHIP, 233 Ks in 190.1 IP) heading into September. These three pitches are really all I need with the approach I use. I don't even know what else I would add. My pitcher is basically a prime Johan Santana with better stuff. You don't really need 5 pitches when you have 3 very good ones.

Re: What is your RTTS pitcing repertoire?

Currently in my first season of AA

                RHP
                Cutter
                Circle-Change
                Forkball

Circle-change works as a great K pitch off the cutter and use the forkball when I need some grounders. Started the season hot, got traded by the Tigers to the Yankees for Andy Pettite and somebody else. Since I got to Trenton, I'm so up and down. But then again, I'm an 18-year-old in AA.

Thinking of adding a fourth pitch. Trying to decide between a sweeping curve or a slider.

I forgot to mention that I also use Chris Sale's delivery since my RttS guy is also a tall, lanky southpaw.

I used to make the palmball the top pitch in my arsenal. I sure do miss it... struck out a ton of guys.

I use on of the default windups

                          1. 4-Seam FB
                          2. Knuckleball
                          3. Circle Change

So far the variations in speeds seems to be really messing with the hitters in AA(although I did just have a game where I gave up 6 earned runs in 1 1/3 innings)

                            3- 2-Seam FB

Closer in AA, #84, and in Trenton. Not too hard to figure who I'm trying to follow steps! :-)
