I just played two extra inning affairs in which both had save situations and both pitcher were indeed credited with the save.

Trust me I know the rules, former minor leaguer here.

Not saying you don't know the rules, but Donovan McNabb didn't know NFL regular season games could end in a tie.

Just had a situation like this. Was tied 0-0 after 10 innings with the Mariners in my Yankees franchise. Joe Saunders and Hiroki Kuroda had a great pitchers duel.

Anyway, in the top of the 11th, I put up 3 runs, then brought in Rivera to close it out. I allowed 1 run in the 11th but still won the game 3-1. Boone Logan got the win (pitched the 10th) Charlie Furbush got the loss (gave up the 3 runs) but Rivera did not get the save.

I'm pretty positive that I know the rules of a save, but am I missing something here or is it just a possible glitch?
