Counter offer definitely should be an option. I was offered a trade the other day that I ended up accepting, but I would have liked to counter and throw in one more player on both sides. I was afraid to just straight up decline the offer because I thought it may not be available anymore after that.

You'll consider the offer and then get back to them later on yes or no. I don't see the reason to nickpick over nothing.Atlanta Braves

I realize I'm nitpicking lol I'm not the one that made this thread... this is an incredibly minute thing, I agree... it's just my 2 cents that there is merit to what OP is saying.Comment

Re: Trade proposal screen
Am I the only one that finds this pop-up notification utterly pointless?
Why on earth does it give you an option to immediately consider or decline a trade if you can't see what it is? I just don't understand the logic of three options here when it could simply say "You have been offered a trade, press X to view."
Or am I missing something really obvious here?
Consider Offer -- If you are simulating more than 1 day and want to complete the simulation before considering the trade, you will choose this option.
Decline Offer -- I must admit that I can't imagine a situation where you would decline an offer sight unseen. I could imagine that if you have a "consider" option, you should probably include a "decline" option for the sake of completeness.Comment

Re: Trade proposal screen
But picking the option dismisses the dialog box, thus preventing you from actually considering the offer, because you won't see it.

Re: Trade proposal screen
It's like if you got a pop up for an injury and picked a "place on DL" option, and that option simply dismissed the dialog box and you were expected to then go to the DL and take care of that manually.
It makes sense to you and others whom have played this game for a bajillion years... I mean now that I know what it does I understand it too... but one shouldn't need outside information to understand a simple prompt, nor should one be expected to read minds.
I'm being honest when I say that I've never once pressed the button, because I was under the impression that pressing "Consider Offer" would stop what I was doing and allow me to consider the offer.
I mean this is sooooo petty and I don't want to make it seem like this is a "gamebreaking" thing or I'm over here waving pitchforks...
But I do genuinely think that the prompt is incorrectly labeled.Comment

Re: Trade proposal screen
I tend to think the menu screens and fonts and dialogue pop-ups are the worst part of this game/series and need so much attention it's ridiculous.
Don't even get me started on the
"The Nationals will be taking on the Cardinals. The Dodgers will be taking on
the Padres. The Yankees will be taking on the Tigers. The Red Sox will be taking on the Rays" dialogue box.
It tends to read like somebody's bad text message instead of visually-appealing graphic that's quickly and easy to interpret.
It's the ugliest screen in this game (?) and I pray that they clean up menus, graphics, and dialogue for ps4.Comment
