When you try to advance a runner are you pressing L1? If so that is the reason for the advancing of both runners. If you're using the button baserunning all you have to do is press the button of the runner in which you are trying to advance (in the case 3B which is square button) the down on the D-Pad button. The runner at 3rd will advance home and the runner at 1st will retreat back to his base automatically. I personally have never had an issue with this type of baserunning so that's the only reason I'm asking you how you are handling your baserunning.

Re: MLB 14 The Show Wishlist

After reading this article from the Pro Baseball forum

The Show has some work to do getting park effects represented, imo.

I've played in all of these parks at some point and they all play the same - sans the physical dimensions. I don't experience more of a "dead ball" (or, rather dead air) in SF, nor do I see a ton of foul outs at Trop. Field. Petco is just as high scoring as any other park.

Coors doesn't feel like a home run haven. Yankee stadium kinda does mostly because that's about it's physical dimensions as much as anything else.

I don't get the feeling the environment the ball park is in is doing a whole lot, and as a result the parks mostly play different only based on their own dimensions (and even that mostly for doubles and triples), not because of the heavy (or light or damp or cold or hot) air, etc. I think that might be one of my biggest wishes for MLB14.

Re: MLB 14 The Show Wishlist

After listening to some hotstove comments about recent trades and signings, Cano to Seattle, Fister to Washington, Fielder to the Rangers etc I was thinking of a way to personalize the trade and free agent signings team by team.

GM's have stated youd first to prefer to trade outside the division, than the league..the Toronto Blue Jays dont want to offer contracts longer than 5 years. I think having a screen in the trading block screen where, not only do you set what position and players you are looking to trade or are looking for but set perimeters such as, skills (power, good vs LHP, speed etc), contract length, prefer out of division or league ect and be able to mold each team by these types of perimeters. It began a little bit last year but it would be cool to add these things in and make them editable so to speak so we can customize how teams go about running their teams. I think it would add some depth

Anyone know if the game will have trade finder like in 2k? I actually think that mode is really cool

              My Wishlist is very simple:

              1. Ability to edit potentials
              2. Ability to edit contracts (both year and salary)
              3. Trade Finder in Franchise mode
              4. Add as many secondary positions as needed when editing a player

That's it. If the next-gen plays anything like the current gen does, it'll be amazing. Add the things I listed above and I'll cry my eyes out. Lol

My girlfriend is buying me a PS4 for Christmas, so I have to anxiously await to release of MLB 14 The Show.

Yes! I would add that potentials should be classified, such as A1, A2, A3, etc. In that way, you could make a distinction between A potentials, such as Trevor Cahill and Jose Fernandez.

                  1. More hair/facial hair options for creating players(seems more likely with the ps4.)
                  2. Edit potentials and contracts
                  3. Stadium creator
                  4. Uniform creator
                  5. Schedule editor in Franchise, so you could play a schedule from a previous year. This would probably be really difficult to do, but I'd like it.
                  6. More selections when editing players' stances

And/or a slider like the rest of the ratings as well. That way if 90-99 is "A", I can be assured that I'm giving one kid a 91 and another 98 for a distinction instead of wondering where A1 cuts off, etc.

I was thinking of something different. What I'd like to see is the ability to edit potential, such as A1, A2, A3 and so on to create a different ceiling for that player's potential. There are lots of A-rated potentials and there should be a ceiling that differs according to what is really happening in baseball. One example is Jose Fernandez. Before the season started, he was below Wheeler, Shelby Miller, and others when sorting by potential. What that means is the game will assume Wheeler and the others to be better than Fernandez, which was/is not the case.

Editing by levels gives the opportunity to keep players closer to what they are doing in real baseball, which adds to realism.

I believe Russell or someone else (don't remember off the top of my head) said that potential can't be edited as it messes up contracts and a few other things in Franchise mode. (which in some cases depending on the roster you use there are some issues) The work around for that now is OSFM, but who knows maybe with the hardware of the PS4 they figured out a way to to solve those issues and allow edited potential.

That is what he is asking for.

                          99 would be A1....98 or 97 might be A2....95 A3....and so on.

But they've already "given up" on worrying about it....by giving us the import.
I think Ramone said one year....."If you want to break it...go ahead"(paraphrasing)

I will say that editing potential has been on the table for a couple of years now.

99 and any other number in the 90's is just an overall. I am more interested in how players progress based on potential, and that's why I want "levels" within potential. At this point, I do not want Wheeler or Miller progressing to a higher level than Jose Fernandez, and that's how I would have wanted in 2013 season, but that is not how it would have been.

He is talking about an attribute bar that would represent the already existing hi/mid/lo level to each potential.
There are different levels of A/B/C within the game....it has nothing to do with overall(you are doing it again...bringing in an element that has absolutely NOTHING to do with what everyone else is talking about or how the game is coded)...

He is proposing that the attribute bar(0-99) would represent the potential grade. Moving it would change the players potential.(including the sub-levels within each grade)
                              It is a great idea.

I'm hoping they fix team schedules from year too year. Example would be if I am the Mariners in 2014 Interleague play they played teams from the NL Central and when you play the 2014 season they continue to play teams in the NL Central I'm hoping this alternates from league to league each year instead of being static.
