If i want to rebuild i usually always go with the Phillies. The Phillies are an old team that doesn't have many bright spots, they do however have more bright spots then say the White Sox who have Sale and if you have up to date rosters some minor pieces here and there. So just to end my rambling here, the two hardest teams to rebuild just going off talent are the Phillies and White Sox. The Phillies do have budget room however when Howard, Utley, Lee are all off the books and have a decent core of young pitchers with Hamels. White Sox just have some minor pieces with Sale.
The Astros and Padres have never won the world series. The Cubs haven't won it since 1908. If you are using a system in which they are easy to rebuild then I'd say your system doesn't match reality.

No offense taken....and I won't throw a monkey wrench into your thought process....but we try and adhere closely(as close as possible) to the one of the two parts that you pointed out that really does matter in the process.

Wouldn't the Jays be a challenge? Got rid of a lot of their prospects for an aging roster. Maybe I am biased as I am disgruntled on the state of my jays lol.

I agree. I'm a Cardinal fan but I don't use them in the Show because where is the challenge in using a team with an outstanding roster and healthy payroll?

It is a video game, if you use the spreadsheet and get fair deals, have the system somewhat to what the team is already in 3-4 years the team should be pretty solid. Every team is "easy" to rebuild, you just have to draft right and don't rape in trades. Real life usually never plays a factor in video games as well, so the Astros/Padres never winning a world series and Cubs since 1908 are irrelevant here.

Valid points, I haven't studied the spreadsheet much but here is a brief synopsis of my trade rules:

                  equal number of players - 1 for 1, 2 for 2 or 3 for 3

1 for 1 must be same position or position of need on trading block

2 for 2 must include one player on trading block and must be for same position or position of need.

3 for 3 must include one player on trading block and third player must be either on the other team's trading block or a position of need listed on their trading block.

If anybody is interested I give a more detailed explanation but you will find it is very difficult to rob the CPU with those restrictions.
