Re: MLB 14 The Show Blog - Online Franchise
I guess he's wondering if there are any benefits to play offline instead of online. Only pertaining to functions of the mode like the AI logic, not other factors like PS+, online stability, etc.Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Blog - Online Franchise
I was referring to the part of the fact sheet that said something like "most" of the features from the offline franchise will be in the online version, which begs the question which offline features aren't in the online version.Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Blog - Online Franchise
Us people doing on line lgs has never been able to do multiple seasons while off line has always had that option, now that they FINALLY take care of us on line players all you hearing now is how off line people are being neglected. Please stop with all the complaining, Russell told you all why it's different so accept it and move on, you can buy it or refuse to buy it. And to all the people complaining bout having to pay to play it on line to get those on line only features same thing either buy it or don't. If 4 dollars and some change a month (that's what it averages out to for $50 a yr) is going to hurt you then should you have bought a PS4 in the first place!!! Let's get real did you all really think on line was going to be free forever it's a business and if you agree with it or not you still have the choice to pay for it or not....IF U CAN'T BEAT ME LEGIT, CAN U ACTUALLY BEAT ME???Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Blog - Online Franchise
I have never and will never play online so it doesn't matter to me what features are added for online play. I also understand the time constraints Sony is facing this year. The perception however is that Sony bit off more than they can chew this year, hence the delayed game delivery. It seems like they have allocated their resources to online at the expense of the offline users. Also, although the money charged for PS Plus isn't much it is perceived as a money grab. This doesn't sit well with many loyal customers. I think their concerns are justified.Comment

So not one "the perception"
I'm seriously doubt the resources dedicated to online franchise is the reason for the delay. I'd say nearly certain as it was probably the most stable at the time of the focus group.
I'm going with the art(read:STADIUMS)....for the PS4 it is a huge undertaking.
...and again....the PS+ charge has NOTHING TO DO with SCEA.
On the PS4....all online play requires PS+. SCEA couldn't give it to you for free if they begged Sony.(and they probably would want to give it to you for free.....more people would use it)

Re: MLB 14 The Show Blog - Online Franchise
I know this has been asked before, but I feel like there has yet to be a clear answer.
In ONLINE franchise do you have the same level of control as you do with OFFLINE franchise.
In that you can edit players, manage injuries, etc. Or have some of those levels of control been taken away due to the fact that other users can be in the mode at the same time.
That is my main issue still with the changes, if I cannot edit new draft picks, edit players as their skills change in real life, change positions/stances/motions, force injuries, etc online franchise will never be the same for me as offline. If I want to do a single player franchise I badly want the new AI logic improvements, but I also want control over things like that.Comment
