In ONLINE franchise do you have the same level of control as you do with OFFLINE franchise.

In that you can edit players, manage injuries, etc. Or have some of those levels of control been taken away due to the fact that other users can be in the mode at the same time.

That is my main issue still with the changes, if I cannot edit new draft picks, edit players as their skills change in real life, change positions/stances/motions, force injuries, etc online franchise will never be the same for me as offline. If I want to do a single player franchise I badly want the new AI logic improvements, but I also want control over things like that.

I'm pretty sure you can have manual injuries and set up CPU teams with the same options you can as in a regular 30 team control franchise.....and unless they drastically changed something....you can'tedit players as in offline mode.

Can you edit if another player is in the franchise with you? Or is that only an ability the comish would have?

Perhaps Hustlin or nem can answer.....I've never participated in one....I've only set them up at SCEA to check things out.

Hopefully you can't adjust ratings. That wouldn't make sense and everyone would make their players a 99 overall.

you mean add players once franchise has started? Yes, would assume similar to last year

I thought we did at SCEA....but I guess not....I must have just been setting up a roster to upload and use.

Yeah, that's what I meant. I constantly tweak the roster in franchise once I start it.

That's what I assumed from the beginning, but some of the posts since I said that a while back made me think maybe we could have that level of control similar offline franchise.

Pretty sure it's going to be the same as last year (Cyber photo). There has been no indications that it's changing as far as I've seen.

If the answer is, 'Online Franchises' will not carry over to the next versions of the game..., then this whole thread should get a lot lighter and very much irrelevant to those who like to carry long-term franchises, especially when the 'offline franchise version has such functionality.... like the olden days when games weren't made new (same) games every year you could run a franchise for years...

The thing is until you can import players into a franchise already started the save carry-over isn't as big of a feature as you are implying, at least on here. A lot of the more diehard The Show fans use OSFM and like to have updated base rosters as well each year. I am a person who will likely never use the save import feature because I need to have the most updated rosters as soon as I can get them. That's one reason to start a new franchise each year.

Online franchise will have plenty of appeal to a lot of people because

A) it has logic updates that are a BIG deal to many if they are considered improvements by the community (they could be terrible, its possible)
B) Is the only way to play franchise with other players

The mode might get irrelevant to those who like to carry long-term franchises, but don't expect a mass exodus.

Well, your method using new/updated roster every year is more 'season mode' then franchise, the purpose of a franchise is to go multiple years, carrying historical data. In reference to your points

A) We will really have to wait and see on this.
B) Perhaps, although what is the point if you can only go a one or two seasons and the next year you have to start all over again.

My point is if you are going to introduce carry over as feature, you have to enable it for the most basic online franchise to make sense. I can see how you can find carry-over irrelevant if you play in such a fashion.

No...he means being able to import new players into an EXISTING franchise.....not starting over with new rosters each year.
