Yeah if they debuted in 2012, but only played in the minors in 2013 (non injured) and never got called up they will not be in 14.

That's what I thought. Had someone PM on another forum asking about Olt since I'm doing OSFM, he was trying to convince me he would be in the game even though I was pretty sure he wasn't since he debuted in 2012 and then played in 2013 at AAA. He did go on the AAA DL, but still played during the year.

Was Olt on the Rangers 40 man last season? I know he had some vision problems so idk if he was injured all year or what. But, I think you're right on this one he may not be in this years game out of the box if he never got a run with the Rangers or Cubs last year and wasn't injured for the year. He's probably going to make the Cubs roster and will be in the SCEA update in week 2. PS3 version at least.

He played quite a few games on both the Rangers' and Cub's AAA teams, but no MLB time. He saw a short stint with Texas in 2012.

Stuff like this is only important from an OSFM perspective for me. Since if he's in the game I won't have to create him. Even if he's added by SCEA it would just be a created player, correct?

In the end it doesn't matter too much since we'll have the game in a week.

If you get a chance later tongiht, can you look and see if the Rockies have their black vests with black sleeves? They look like this:

There is something similar...that has the black vest, but blue elbow length sleeves.

Yeah if he didn't play in the majors at all last year he likely wont be in 14 on the default roster. If he is added by SCEA yes he'll be created, but he'll have his service time and stats from 2012 on his player card. Someone will have to make adjustments to his face and equipment, but that's about it.

I think OSFM usually uses the first SCEA updated roster which is day one?

Does that mean you guys are going to wait until the PS4 version to start updating the roster? I was hoping that you guys would use the PS3/Vita versions to start updating the rosters because they can be used cross platform.

I'm pretty sure that is what they are going to do. What I think he means is when the PS4 version comes out they'll see what kind of roster they have and import over players that are needed. Some guys will have made debuts or have been called up before the PS4 version is on the shelves so a lot of the players they create may not have to be created or imported over for the PS4 version. if that makes any sense? I'm sure Knight will chime in.

No....we'll definitely be starting on the PS3 as soon as it releases......
But we will import into a later SCEA update if there is a good reason to use it.
Hoping to have it ready for the PS4 release.
