OMG, I wish they never would have instituted the silly OVR.
Ridiculous "rating" that is nowhere in baseball....yet seems to the crux of most complaints in gaming.
    Ugh...

I wish they would make it hidden, OVR rating should never be looked at, sadly sporting games the AI uses OVR in it's logic.

in baseball it should never be looked at, games like madden are all about speed. but with the show its full of dynamics that OVR is so miss leading and people look into it to much

I have no problem with the OVR, I do have an issue with the AI using it in its logic. That I wish would go away. Having it hidden would solve some issues, but Ramone has said that people (beyond OS) like the numbers so they're staying. An option I could see though.

Well, the Royals pitching rotation is going to be to be adjusted already. Duffy is in AAA. Yordano Ventura is in his place.

            Looks pretty good to me.

I'm also in agreement that having fewer A-A+ players is a really good thing.

Carlos beltran rated higher then Jose Bautista? ROFL. BAutista is going to have a monster year, was on fire all spring.

On this episode of Jeopardy, for the Baltimore Orioles, 2nd in the AL in SO's, "Who is Steve Johnson?"

I wouldn't think it's Gausmann or Bundy, as both have MLB experience - and should be in the game. So, who is Steve Johnson?

Just a SCEA random player at AAA, who maybe got called up early in the season to get the SO's?

I also found it rather unusual Beltran was a 90 overall. Not that it makes him a better player in any one category, but trying to figure out who he was actually better than in that many categories to add up to a 90. Definitely the most surprising rating I've seen so far. Also felt a bunch of the Yankees were a bit higher than what I would have expected relative to other players.

He gets a lot of his outs through strikeouts, but he probably can't pitch enough innings to rack up that amount of strikeouts in a season. I'm assuming some O's pitchers got injured or traded in that sim, I doubt his rating is high enough for them to start him that much.

You guys realize they only changed the formula for the overall? The individual ratings are going to still be on the same scale.

You guys are looking way into the overalls.

I don't know whether or not the ratings are good until I see the individual ratings. I really don't care if a player like Adams is a 77 overall if he has some good power and so forth.

My only nitpick complaint would be that some young players seem a bit high for not even having a 3 year career yet some established players like Allen Craig are still low. But once again....overalls don't really matter.

Weaver only at an 83? And Wilson at 82 after a solid year last year?

I may have to do a LOT of editing before getting a game in, as a ratings nut.

And no...I don't care about the overall number. But some of those "contact vs Righties...etc" are extremely wrong. Cervelli shouldn't have a 70 power against righties because of the power he showed last year in such limited ABs.

I don't care what rating system they're using... Colby Rasmus shouldn't be a 72 overall CF after last year.

Chris Stewart has something like 50 power vs righties, 55 contact...which is a joke...that would make him a legitimate starter. He should be much lower than that.

Saw a lot of little ratings that are suspect...specially as a guy that spends the offseason looking at splits of last year and the last couple of years for almost every player to see how they're going to end up in the Show lol

                                I'm a Yankees fans...but I don't see how Uehara is not a 90+ overall....
