Hope I didn't miss this before asking but how do players progress each year in a franchise ? Will your young stud in AAA automatically get better?

Re: MLB 14 The Show Q&A with the Community
Okay...from what I can see so far...the O.S.D. that pops up in the first game(I haven't played past 1 yet to check) it shows the regular season stats of the player.
But two things right now...
I can't see where to see those stats anywhere else if they are there
The OSD says 2013 instead of 2014..(but it is the 2014 regular season stats)

Re: MLB 14 The Show Q&A with the Community
Has the dynamic difficulty been explained more anywhere? I'm guessing it only adjusts the levels, not sliders, right?
Anyone using it so far? I tried it and it was really easy hitting at first, and is getting a bit harder, but hard to judge giving the different pitchers, variables, and only playing for like 2 hours.Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Q&A with the Community
That's exactly what I plan on doing.
The difficulty mode will have 20 or so games to assess me. Hopefully it will get me to a place I feel better about before then so I can simulate to Opening Day though.
This is one of the unfortunate downsides to Rookie and Veteran being a little too strike happy. But I LOVE LOVE LOVE the idea of DD so I'm all in.
Wanted to use QC's exclusively this year. But I still wonder how my DD assessments would be impacted by that? If it's just OPS. then maybe not too much? Hard to say depending on the counts I'm given.
Guess I'll find out later!
Or I'll just play full games and switch to QC's once/if I advance to All-Star or something. Not sure yet and I start playing in like 30 minutes!Decisions decisions!
As for me...I bumped up to Veteran hitting during my first QC game (on a different settings profile than the non-QC one, I want to keep those seperate). It was a 9-4 win where I got 10 hits, and the change actually happened mid-inning and not only between innings.
It might be a good idea to find a good QC difficulty setting, and then try to work your way up to that point without QC. I think I'm going to try that, for one thing it's a lot faster process with QC + Fast Play.
There's a couple of other constraints on the difficulty changes I didn't know about until reading the guide:
- Only one difficulty shift per game. Progress is halted for the rest of the game if it happens.
- Can't demote unless you're trailing by 3 or more runs, and can't promote unless you're up 3 runs or more. Not sure how/if this part applies to RTTS.Last edited by bcruise; 04-01-2014, 07:41 PM.Comment

This is literally all I'll be doing until I find a good setting, so you're likely to hear a lot more from me about it as I play.Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Q&A with the Community
anyone know how to fix my game and "SimulView"?
When the game booted up the menu had an option to use Simulview and i accidentally clicked yes. My screen goes back and says "mode not supported". Now every time i turn the game on, it gets to the main menu and turns black and goes back to the "mode not supported" screen. Any way to disable this?Comment

This usually fixes it for me in the past when that's happened. Might not work for every TV-PS3 combo though. There should really be a way to block access to simulview or any 3D mode if you don't have a use for it. Really frustrating when you accidentely turn it on.Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Q&A with the Community
Wondering what game modes support both or either player lock and quick count? Also, I'm having some difficulty tracking fly balls in both player lock and rtts. Any suggestions on camera settings to help track the fly balls easier? Having a great time playing the game so-far on the ps3. Can't wait for the ps4 version in MayComment
