As someone who played last years version I was curious if anyone could tell me if the following issues were solved for the 14 version for PS3:

-how drastically do players, age 30 and above, decline on a yearly basis. and is there still an option not to allow attributes to change during the season itself (and does this vary in season vs franchise mode).

-do a lot of unrealistic cpu to cpu trades occur in the offseason.

-do key free agents hit the free agent market regularly. with last years edition not many did.

Is there any quick way to see hitter/pitcher season stats in game? Not seeing them on the analysis screen unless I'm not looking close enough.

I don't think you can. For whatever reason they took it out. You used to be able to see it when you pushed select button.

How are the injuries? Realistic amount during simmed and played games with default slider setting??

How do I find out my pitcher's energy level during a game? On 13, i hit select and it came up...On 14 when i hit select it shows the overall bar....is that the same thing?

Under your pitchers repertoire, you should have two bars, one indicating your pitcher's confidence and another one for your pitcher's Energy. If you don't have these on your screen, then you should switch it on.

I don't think you can. For whatever reason they took it out. You used to be able to see it when you pushed select button.

But when you hit pause there is an entire section of full season player stats in the player utilities screen.

If that is the only way its a bit of an annoyance since I often play with batter walk ups off and fast play. Not sure why they'd take that out of the analysis screen.

What about pitcher confidence with all of the pitching OSDs turned off? I think the quick menu only shows stamina.

OK, read the whole thread and Im suprised no one has asked a few questions:

1) Have any of the "owner mode" features from franchise that were taken out last year been put back in. Selling tickets, adding seats, selling advertising, ect. This was a hugely fun and important part of the game for me every year and last year's game just felt empty without them.

2) Are the player salaries any better in franchise mode so that they're more realistic? In last year's game, one player who really makes 20 mil would while another who does made 2 mil in the game. Made franchise unplayable after year one, and one of my favorite things to do is to sim year after year with a franchise playing as GM.

3) Has the ability to guess pitch location AND type been put back in. Its always been how I bat and without it last year I was lost.

No and no. In regards to 3, you can guess both but you have to get both correct. If you get either but not both its the same as a fail.

I think he means when his team his batting and the P is due to bat.

Player salaries seems great but, and almost every legacy Franchise bug has been fixed. Seriously, it's awesome. But young players are getting locked up to cheap long term deals, which causes an excess of funds around the league (which impacts renewable players, free agency, etc).

Small stuff that hopefully can and will get patched.

A lot of great fixes done this year. Loving the game...

I also notice that team strategies seem to default for some teams to rebuild at the start of franchise and carry over to the off season and subsequent seasons affecting trades. Yankees and Phillies seem to be most prevalent.

It could just be the default and live roster...not sure.
