Re: MLB 14 The Show Impressions From the Community (PS Vita)
Man, manual fielding is tough on the Vita with the new dynamic camera. I made 3 errors (2 OF drops and an overthrow) in the game I played today. I did manage to rob a HR, though.Currently Playing:

Yeah had to switch back to medium view. Too tough for me!Originally posted by Anthony BourdainThe celebrity chef culture is a remarkable and admittedly annoying phenomenon. I do like the dynamic fielding a lot, it really feels like I'm playing the game, but I have had my share of OF errors.Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Impressions From the Community (PS Vita)
This game is broken on Vita.
I own The Show 14 on Vita and PS3. I have owned them for the past 4 or 5 years. It is by far my favorite game on these systems other than Metal Gear anything.
I've been playing it 24/7 since it first hit PSN. Framerate drops to a slideshow when showing the dugouts and other times. This does in fact affect gameplay. Balls being hit foul into the stands somehow curve back into the hands of an outfielder, and this happened *twice* in one game. I have video of this if anyone wants to see it. Energy for players is still not shown anywhere in the franchise screens as it is on PS3. I understand we have to cut corners somewhere but that's a huge corner. After several years of missing energy bars I guess I just have to get used to it. I know they show it on the lineup screen. That's not where I need to see it.
I know there's more, much more, and if I can compile a list or confirm what other people have noticed, I will add it here.
The magnetic ball thing happened last night (again it happened twice, at Nationals Park), and instead of hurling my Vita at the wall, I found my zen place and think I'm going to shelve this game for a while until it's patched.
I do enjoy the dynamic difficulty setting.
On a lighter note...The Show 14 for PS3 is awesome so far! I nailed a pitcher in the dome with a grounder, which still makes me wince to think about it, and I have video of this as well if anyone is interested. He ended up being out 2-3 weeks with a head contusion.

I agree with the fatigue issue big bummer.
But I'm still loving the game. I do like it better on the ps3 for obvious reasons but love taking my games to work and vacations and still getting realistic stats and games on my vita.Originally posted by Anthony BourdainThe celebrity chef culture is a remarkable and admittedly annoying phenomenon. Re: MLB 14 The Show Impressions From the Community (PS Vita)
Just a quick question: I'm a franchise mode junkie but not a big baseball fan. I would love to get a franchise mode fix on my Vita and this appears to be the only option. Would you guys recommend this to someone who pretty much only wants it for franchise? How deep is it compared to something like NBA2K14 or NHL on PS3? I've never played the console version because I'm not that into baseball but I follow it enough that I could get into a good franchise mode as long as there is enough content and management to keep me busy.
Also more specifically does this have the option to jump into a game at any time? Like how in NHL you can sim into the third period and jump in if you're losing.Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Impressions From the Community (PS Vita)
So I love the Vita version (especially with the new OSFM rosters). Been playing it mainly even though I have the PS4 version. With that said, the freezing on the final screen is KILLING me. Way too many great games have been lost and it seems to be happening more frequently. This is on franchise mode. I turned off autosave for now. Is the only option now to save it right before the end of the game by exiting saving? Please tell me someone from SCEA is hearing us. Really disappointed.Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Impressions From the Community (PS Vita)
Just picked up a copy along with the new Vita, haven't played too much but I did notice the slowdown a couple of times when a ball was put into play.
A question..what camera is everyone using for hitting?Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Impressions From the Community (PS Vita)
Another issue that is getting me a little frustrated: whenever I make any changes to a created player (changes to their face or body not w/ accessories) in franchise mode, the changes either don't register at all or the players end up completely messed up (blonde instead of black hair plus one of the chipmunk faces). Is there any way to make changes to players without it being completely screwed up? I think this may have been a problem in previous versions and I'm wondering if there is a workaround. I really want to change the face and skin color of a created player I made (I'm already more than a month in so I don't want to remake them and start over). Anyone else experience this?Comment
