Another issue that is getting me a little frustrated: whenever I make any changes to a created player (changes to their face or body not w/ accessories) in franchise mode, the changes either don't register at all or the players end up completely messed up (blonde instead of black hair plus one of the chipmunk faces). Is there any way to make changes to players without it being completely screwed up? I think this may have been a problem in previous versions and I'm wondering if there is a workaround. I really want to change the face and skin color of a created player I made (I'm already more than a month in so I don't want to remake them and start over). Anyone else experience this?

Here is my only fix.. and it's time consuming:

Change the player's first name (for some reason this randomizes the face), You will get a random face that will sometimes look good and sometimes look terrible. You'll also have to actually play a game with the new character to see what he will look like as every other screen will not correctly reflect what he's going to look like. The good news is- that I've gotten some natural looking faces that look better than what I would have otherwise been able to create. The bad news is- I haven't had great luck with African American players as they all look cartoony.
What I usually do is:
Change first name to anything.
Change face to face 1
Change skin tone to 2 or 3.
It might take a couple of goes- but you should be able to avoid chipmunk-itis like this...
But yes- PLEASE SONY- FIX THIS... AND FIRE WHOEVER CREATED THOSE RIDICULOUS CHIPMUNK FACES.

Quick questions, does the game freeze in season mode at the end of game screen or does it only do that in franchise mode?

I'm 22 games into my season and it hasn't happened yet.

I was using the PS4 remote play on my Vita and was editing a player's name and couldn't find out what button to hit for Done, which is usually R2 on the PS4 I think. Same thing when trying to save a roster and entering a name. I tried touching the top right part of the touch screen or rear pad on the Vita. Anyone know?

Anyone know if SCEA is working on a patch to fix the game freeze bug? It's come to the point where I exit and save the game in the 9th inning for every game just to prevent it from freezing. It happens very frequently to the point where I consider it a major game destroying bug.

According to the devs they feel they are "getting close to finding the issue."

Just noticed that whenever I load from a RTTS PS3 cloud save on my Vita, most if not all of my settings (both gameplay and RTTS) are screwed up or set to default.

When is the Vita version getting patched?

Still waiting on word of a freeze fix. I'm just playing my RTTS and leaving my Franchise be until it's ironed out.

Just got a notice to download the first Vita patch 1.01. All it says was like stability or something.

Thoughts on this year vs previous
I echo a few of the earlier posts, I am having a very hard time hitting this year so far timing-wise, I am late on everything (13 i had 0 problems hitting but 12 was more similar to this year i think)
After years and 100s of games played I have to move to auto fielding, which sucks. I will go so far as to say the OF fielding is broken. After having multiple OF errors per game either guys not being in the right position to catch the ball, starting the animations too late or not getting "locked" in to the circle it became too big of an issue (yes i switched the camera back to medium). Im not sure what they did or why but they made routine fly balls unreasonably more challenging.
Past that the bullpen fatigue issue is very annoying.
On the plus side i am enjoying QC, so theres that.
Overall have to say I am pretty disappointed as I feel this year is 1 step forward 2 steps backward.

Well, there's certainly nothing wrong with going back and playing 13 if you enjoyed it more than 14.

I couldn't hit for crap in 13. That expanded timing window caused me to be early on everything after I spent so much time playing MLB 12 where you really had to anticipate and swing early to pull a fastball. 14, for me, is a nice hybrid of 12 and 13. You do have to start the swing early to pull a ball, but it's not as extreme as 12 and you don't have to wait, wait, wait (and wait again) to swing like you did in 13.

Still drives me nuts that you can't change fielders in any of the Vita versions, and that is a primary reason why I do use Auto fielding when playing on the Vita.

I'm really enjoying 14, but do still go back and play 12 (I'm in year 2 of a Mets franchise) and 13 (have a Blue Jays franchise going) from time to time. All 3 are great games and show what the Vita is capable of in terms of housing a quality sports game.

I just wish there were a way to share the franchise files between the Vita and PS3 (PS4 now) without having to use the online server. As it stands now, I'm stuck using the Vita version for 12 if I want to continue my Mets franchise and here soon I'll have to decide on whether to keep playing my 13 franchise on the PS3 or Vita.
