I just don't understand this decision?

If it was a matter of usage I don't see why you would change it from 100% to 25% when you could just take away the option instead.

What about the people who want to see it on 100% of the no doubters (if they are out there!)? Now they don't have that option either.


My only guess and hope I guess is that they had no idea that people cared about it so much. It was the one thing I went in and changed day one every year, but at the same time I don't see why there would ever have been conversation about it here or any other forums since it was a simple on/off toggle.

I just hope the option is back next year.

I don't believe it was meant to be 100% by design.(the not understanding the why from 100-25)

I guess the best thing would be to give the option...

I've been loosely following this thread with the hope I would see good news before the PS4 version releases. Like others, it is one of the very first things I make sure is off in my presentation settings as I love the way the camera pulls back and follows the ball. It makes HRs no-doubters seem all the more powerful.

I'm definitely happy that it will be at least toned down, but I do hope the option comes back (or expands for those that want it just sometimes, as Knight suggested) for 15. Again though, very thankful it's being addressed in a patch and we were let know already.

Oh I agree.


I'm really just perplexed as to the why. I will always give these guys the benefit of the doubt but usually when there is a design decision made (more options in online franchise this year versus offline as an example) I might not agree but understand the reasoning.

This one I simply don't get unless they just underestimated how many people turned it off. I don't see a benefit to one "side" or the other.

Actually, the more I think about it, I would to have the pull back camera on any long fly ball, so it can scare you a bit as a pitcher too...

It's playing the HR cam for all no doubt HR's when it should be playing for only 25% of them this will be corrected in the next title update.

Oddly...I am getting pull back camera for most of the no doubters I've seen (not huge sample) and about 25% time the HR cam. I actually like HR cam but agree it should show the ball fly in to stands.

I think it should show for 100% of the times a HR Swing Animation (As seen in a players settings for Personalization) is played out, instead its playing on normal swings as well.

In the past everytime the above animation played out in MLB 13 the HR Camera played. I for one LOVE LOVE LOVE the HR Camera and would be pissed if I dont get to see it.

If I can't switch it to 0% of the time, I will simply skip this version of the game. It is a gamebreaker for me, so I will let the fact that I will keep my $60.00 this year express how displeased I am with the decision to remove this option. This pittance will make no noticeable difference to the vast profit margin being garnered by the sale of this game, but it is the only real voice any business will listen to, so I have said my piece.

Oh, and another piece...the only game I would want to see on PS4 now would be MLB 14 The Show. I have yet to purchase a PS4. I guess my pittance just got a little bigger.

I understand the above, but the way Russell is talking they are going to turn it off for 75% of the times it does trigger, and that will annoy me. all they simply need to do is set it like the past On/Off, not lower the frequency of the On.

I agree 100%, unfortunately, that does not appear to be what we will be getting....

Looks like both sides will give a little, and meet in the middle .....
