I just turned the game on and was not prompted to download a patch.. Any way to check if I have the patch already installed?

EDIT- I had automatic downloads on and it downloaded for me already.

At the 120 mark what was their stamina bar at? Did you notice that pitchers tend to reach the 100 mark in the 6th inning?

Sorry, but I don't know - I'm running QC games in CPU vs CPU and you can't see the pitcher's stamina.

They reached 100 later than the 6th - more like the 7th or 8th unless they were getting hit hard.

Honestly though I would much rather be able to turn it off completely then even just seeing it 25% of the time. In my opinion I just do not think the Home Run Camera is a good idea for a true "SIM Style" baseball game. Sure for an 'Arcade" baseball game the Home Run Camera would be fine but not for us "SIM" players.

Most likely it's too late to bring back the option to completely turn off the Home Run Camera for 14. But I really hope it will be back for 15

im just glad i look at this site or i wouldve never known they took it out until i bought the game. then i wouldve been really pissed.
i will def skip this year if they arent putting the option back in to turn it off.

heck- i could spend hours with this game in hr derby, just watching the homeruns--- with the hr camera off. who the hell actually likes the homerun camera?? it had to have been a mistake to leave the option off.

Never been in this position before, but my only connection to the net right now is through my phone. My question is, is there any way to download the patch on my phone then transfer it to my ps3 then be able to apply the patch?

Also wanted to mention in my RTTS, I can press R2 before the pitch pitches and steal over 95 percent of the time and I believe my rating for speed is at 65 and my Bra is at around 60. Is this a bug? If not, it can easily be abused...

They still haven't fixed the bunting problem. What bunting problem?

I had 4 bunt singles last game I played. All sac bunt attempts, all singles.
The game after that, I had 2 sac bunt attempts both for singles.
Game after that, I tried one sac bunt attempt . . . safe.
It's literally a guaranteed hit about 90% of the time.

Played a couple games in The Show Live using player lock mode.


Seems like they fixed the starting pitchers not showing stats bug.

Seems like they fixed the bullpen issues ( although it could have just been the Marlins at Braves and Diamondbacks at Cubs games that I had played ) and the managers seemed to make smarter decisions when pinch hitting or changing pitchers in the bullpen.

Even though the bullpen issue was fixed as in they didn't have starters in the bullpen, or didn't have clones of the starting pitcher on the roster, or had the closers in the starting rotation... they did have Rafael Betancourt on the Diamondbacks bullpen probably because the roster has a rookie who is not in the game yet.

The Derek Jeter face glitch that happens for players who are added in weekly updates was still around.


The game play was pretty good and pretty similar to how it was.

Anyone seeing this check swing issue? So far I've been called out by the 1st base umpire on check swings that aren't even close. Like this one. This is literally where I stopped the swing and they're calling me out for this stuff.

A potential prospects don't sign long term team friendly deals any longer. I think budgets still raise too high relative to the contracts that are handed out.

I see teams that are in rebuild mode to start the franchise and stay that way through the offseason into the next season.

Sim steals look real good now too.

The rebuild mode, is that different from how it behaved before? I did see teams offering those 3 minor leaguers for a good MLB player deals much earlier in the year (April/May). I forget who exactly but I think they were actually good teams that were doing it. I still hate the trade logic but I check those manually anyways.

Steals are great. My only issues remaining with sim stats are Complete games and Shutouts way too high but maybe we need them to be that way to get the rest of the pitching stats looking good as they do. There is a problem with the appeal portion of the game. I had to turn it off. You will get rung up on those type of swings.

I don't think a team should go into rebuild until at least june. Then should reset at the end of the season. I think in the past it was June or July that team strategies changed.

You no longer have to give each player a one year deal the CPU does it auto.

Year 2 budget increases are more reasonable highest I think I saw was 17% in year 2. Year one still had 39% increases and Yankees had 115 million in room the start of season 2 and were still in rebuild mode.

Edit: year 2 I have seen some long term deals slip through Wil Myers signed a 5 year deal at 1.1 a year.
