Is it just me, or does Reid Brignac's stance looks a lot like crawfords?

you're absolutely right! Virtually a dead ringer

        thanks!

since there's nothing in the game close, I've been using Edwin Encarnacion's

                    CRAIG KIMBREL-RP/CP (Braves)

                    delivery-C.J. Wilson

He has not thrown a single changeup in the 4 games I've watched him pitch on (including this past Saturday's game). With that said, his arsenal is:

                    running fastball-97mph

                    4-seam-99mph

                    slider-87mph

                    a sidenote:

while MLB's gameday/pitch-by-pitch breakdown is innovative, it is no way exact...

for Kimbrel alone...over two games...EACH of this sliders were called changeups on the site. THAT is why, unless you've WATCHED with your very own eyes, don't put all of your trust in what's posted. And for those out there, for whatever reason, who solely depend on that site info...there are enough pitch misidentifications to make you wonder sometimes...

100% agree with your comment on the changeups/sliders -break is identical even though it is listed as 2 different pitches on link.

You're sometimes off on pitch speeds, please don't take it personally, just saying...
                        I got 1)4FB/RFB 95.2 2)SL 84.8
no 3rd pitch, we need one in game though (guess that's why you chose 4FB, would have done the same as he's thrown 80% FB so far, hopefully we'll have 2-pitch RP and 6-pitch SP next year!)

BTW, there is decimals after pitch speed (in EDIT mode). We don't see it but it's there, we have to guess where (for 4FB, +1pt is a .2 increase in velocity), this is where texasleaguers comes in handy...

                            @ miles999

I'm not 'off' on pitch speeds at all...and I am beyond taking anything personally. You want my explanations---I'll state them right here....

Each park, each juggs gun, the team's gun, will give slight variances in readings....
the stuff like "84.8" is useless for what's done around here...
                            "84.8" is 85---

                            moving on.....

for the time being...with the three appearances of his that were tracked
(I don't have time for the other 7 or 8; as I have many others to get to), he only threw three pitches....

I did not make any mistake with his 4-seamer. In the three games I watched, he threw it almost exclusively and IN to left handed batters.....

His running fastball almost exclusively to right handed batters.....

Also, he threw ZERO changups...to break it down further...In the three games, he threw EXACTLY 9 sliders....9.

I know the difference between the two. You show me a changeup from a righty that starts it's break in the right handers batter's box, sweeps ACROSS the plate, near the inside of the left handers batters box...ok?
You know one...I wanna see it....

Bottom line: I only track, catagorize and post what I see--books, scouting reports, blogs, minor league sites that track speeds mean nothing to me.

One time major leaguer, Juan Morillo, reportedly threw as hard as 103 in the minors. When he came up with Colorado, he wasnt close...

we've seen too many times a guy throwing certain stuff in the minors, and then abandon it in the majors....Matter of fact, Kimbrel calls his breaking pitch a curve, NOT a slider. But seeing it in three different games, there's no doubt it is a slider.

Not every pitcher in the majors throws a change...and I for one won't assign it until I see it....
One can always add on if theres a need to. Right now, I'm not doing it.

And as I previously said, gameday makes more than a few mistakes--and that's reality.

I agree with you, means: (I agree) he doesn't throw a change! maybe I lacked clarity.

On Kimbrel, haven't seen him, yet, I'll trust your judgment.

"Juan Morillo reportedly threw as hard as 103 in the minors."

There are velocity differences from TV to gameday and if higher it's on TV not gameday/texasleaguers!
Besides, averages are for that, and you're way up there on the speeds, according to texasleaguers; proof they aren't off: Aroldis Chapman's FB is listed at 100.6 AVERAGE there!

"84.8" isn't useless, with that undeserving 85 if a guy throws average 84.8, he could sometimes hit 88/89... you'd want to set the velocity rating exactly where it should be!
e.g. 84.5mph slider is just in the middle: +1pt=.1667 for sliders, so 3pts to the right (or left if you're starting with 86), see how useful? instead of having to chose between 84 and 85.
