What are you guys using for Ronny Paulino? Last year it was Aramis Ramirez but they changed his stance so we can't use that.

Tampa Bay: Ray Sadler and Ben Zobrist
Zobrist: someone mentioned in another thread that Matthews is the stance for Zobrist. Couldn;t disagree more. Watching a ST game from 3-19, Zobrist's stance is Votto's
Now, unless he's one of those I-change-my-stance-every-week kinda guys, I'm going with this one

Re: Nyjer Morgan and Some of The Pirates Stances & Deliveries
Here's some of the Bucs I've done this evening/tonight so far:
Morgan-Mike Rivera
Moss-Phelps
McClouth-Jacobs
Hinske-Brock
Grabow-Casilla
Yates-E. Ramirez
Burnett-Buehrle
Chavez-Smoltz
Bautista (his designated set delivery is nothing like his)-Corpas
Dumatrait-Lilly/stance: Tomas Perez
Karstens-S. Shields
Andy LaRoche- I use Monroe, he has his back elbow down like LaRoche, J. Robinson is good though too, just the elbow bothers me.
Ramon Vazquez- He has faster bat movement than Sandavol, Vazquez's stance is pretty good as is, just needs to be a little more open. Sandavol's stance is perfect for Freddy Sanchez though.
Nyjer Morgan- M. Rivera looks good, I might use that
Moss- changed his stance this year, Sullivan looks pretty good.
McLouth- There is no good stance for Nate in the game, Mohr or Clayton are the closest IMO.
Hinshe- Brock has a closed stance, Hinske is open, Hollandworth looks almost perfect if his bat was out just a tad more.
Grabow- Casilla looks good too, I may use this as well
Yates- E. Ramirez is good tooI like Benitez too for Yates cause his glove is out from his body.
Burnett- He pitches from the stretch only, I use Dotel
Chavez- Stretch only guy also, I use Hennessy for now
Bautista- His default stance isnt that bad, but you are right Corpas is better, Fuentes isnt bad either.
Dumatrait- Mark Prior is perfect
Karstens- I like Shields good callChris Young is also really good.
Jaramillo- This is a tough one I am torn between Glaus and Podsednik.Comment

@ tree3five
I gotta check that Hinske-Brock thing again...
the stance didnt appear closed. Hmmmm
A view from the CF camera during the playoffs last year, showed Hinke's not open or closed, but about even in the box. Plus the hand positioning is on point. That was the selling point for me lol
Vazquez' stance in the game has too much bat movement vs. real life, thats why I chose Sandoval
I took Moss' stance from a game last September
The games i saw Burnett pitch in 2008...clean innings...he pitched from a windup...when did he change?
Same for Chavez...when did he change?
Bautista SLINGS the ball and his glove doesnt go flying after the follow-thru, thats why I chose the alternative. His delivery is too sedate
Neither Glaus or Podsednik have the quick bat movement, while hands are up near the head. If you go on youtube, put Jaramillo's name in and look for the video of him in one AB at this past winter's Arizona Fall League, you'll see what I mean....
thanks for the stances Rod. Some guys have changed their stances like LaRoche and Moss. heres what I am using, let me know what you think.

Hinske has been open all spring. He must have changed since last year.
EDIT: here is a video from last year where he is open:
To me Vazquez has some fast bat movement.
Moss changed his stance this spring, he lowered his hands a lot and brought his bat to his shoulder.
Burnett went to the stretch about half way through last season.
Chavez changed this spring (Kerrigan said this in an interview) and every game I saw him pitch, with the bases clear or not he was from the stretch.
You are right Bautista does have a funky follow through on the game I forgot about that.
When I was in bradenton and from the game I saw Jaramillo play I dont rememebr fast bat movement, he did move the bat up down, kinda back and forth but not very fast. Ya from that video Luke Scott looks good, but he didnt look like that this spring. Maybe he changed since the fall league. Im gonna keep looking, hes a tough oneLast edited by tree3five; 03-31-2009, 12:43 PM.Comment
