    Re: BATTING STANCE/PITCHING DELIVERY THREAD

Idk if I asked this before but has anyone seen a good delivery for Radhames Liz?

Also, I have been using Mike Cameron for Jordan Schafer, is that a good choice to you guys?

See what you guys think about Yadier Molina for Longoria's stance. There might be a little too much bat movement but other than that it looks close.

Plus, in my first at-bat with him I hit a single, and in my 2nd I hit a Home Run .

            HUNTER JONES-RP (Red Sox)

            Hunter Jones-Generic 8

combining ALL benchmarks...including the time of delivery and relatively low-quick leg kick (in approx 1.75 seconds)...Generic 8 is the only set delivery that qualifies.

              I'm gonna be serious here:

Last I saw, Longoria's bat either touches/rests on his shoulder or.....it's at a fairly low angle..and he's a little open in his stance

Stephen Drew's stance (while open; even though I don't like the front leg positioning), has the bat too high--top-of-the-helmet-high

Originally I used Branyan, which is more like it

And then I changed to Crede as someone suggested, but Crede's stance is closed slightly

I think I'm going back to Branyan unless....
IF Longoria's stance/hand-bat positioning has changed, then I apologize...

              So what's the deal?
Spot on I respect your opinion. I was using a classic stance Kiner for Longoria. I play with the Braves anyway, but if I spot something I will change it. Rock on...

                BRAD BERGESEN-SP (Orioles)

BRAD BERGESEN-there is no delivery in the game at this time, that accurately reflects his somewhat unique style---a right-handed pitcher, he pushes off of his LEFT leg (correction) as opposed to his right (back) leg.

In terms of timing and follow through, Armas' delivery will work for now.

Uhm, I don't understand what your saying because that's what your supposed to do. I think you might've gotten the right left leg mixed up because if you're right-handed you push of your back leg which is your right leg.

                      LOL

I actually left it alone since there really wasn't a better one...although off the top of my head, Fick's may work--up to a point, although the bat angle I dont think is really compatible.

                                Re: BATTING STANCE/PITCHING DELIVERY THREAD

I traded for Longoria last night so I'm looking for the most accurate batting stance for him. I originally settled on Ryan Shealy but now I think Branyan is the most accurate. Kiner and Crede don't do it for me, that bat needs to be rested flat on his shoulder.

I looked it up on mlb.com last night and he has an upright stance which is slightly open with the bat rested on his shoulder.

Branyan appears to be a little more in a crouch than i want but not enough to worry about.

Branyan is what I think I'm going to use.
