Re: Full Minors Roster for '09
hey Knight-
did you see my question about the White Sox players? Another quick question, have you been looking at positions at all? I'm not sure if the game is like previous years where it won't let you play a guy at a position he is not listed as so a guy like Jeff Keppinger who has been playing mostly 3B for Houston is listed as a SS and 2B would be replaced? I'm sure he's not the only example. I can try to look at it when you send me the file but maybe you can recruit someone to help with this process if you haven't looked at it yourself.Comment

Re: Full Minors Roster for '09
Knight,
yeah, that sounds good. Whenever you are ready just send the file and I will get as many faces as I can done. Been looking through as you post your files and alot of the faces are great, it will be easy for me to go in and just tighten some up.
looking forward to it,Comment

Re: Full Minors Roster for '09
Thank you very much for this, Knight. As I explain to you once before I've been waiting just for these. After like 3 weeks of not playing this game (Just waiting for the rosters) I'm about to pop it in and do some damage with my Orioles. Since I'm new to The Show and transfering rosters through a USB connection, what am I suppose to transfer?
The "Savedata" folder or just the file "BUCS" etc to my PS3? If anyone could help that would be greatly appreciated. And once again thanks to all involved on helping make this game great and these rosters great. Closest game I've seen that rivals my favorite MVP '05.

In that folder, create another folder called SAVEDATA (Not savedata or Savedata !)
Then copy/move the BCUS(etc. etc.) folder into the SAVEDATA folder.
So it should be like this: PS3 - SAVEDATA - BCUS
And the files should of course be in the BCUS folder.
Connect the flash drive to your PS3. Go to Save Data Utility and choose USB Device, then press triangle on the roster file and choose copy.
Hope this helps.
EDIT. Or you can just copy/move the entire PS3 folder to your flash drive... silly me.Last edited by Entiae; 04-18-2009, 05:52 AM.Comment

Re: Full Minors Roster for '09
Hey Razr, U have Justin Masterson with:
Sinker, Slurve?, Splitter?, Changeup.
I got this off of Wikipedia:
Masterson pitches at a low three-quarter arm delivery with a sliding-type motion, which some compare to Dennis Eckersley's delivery. His pitching arsenal includes a fastball, sinker, slider, and a change-up. It has been claimed that his best pitch is his plus-sinker with a heavy drop.[4]
Masterson throws a variety of fastballs that vary in speed and break, with the speeds reaching between from the upper 80s to the mid 90s. The speed of his slider is in the low 80s, and his change-up ranges from 77 to 81 mph. He can vary his sinker at speeds of 84 to 94 mph, sometimes catching batters off balance.
It's just my opinion but I think instead of his slurve, maybe just give him a slider cuz I don't think he even throws a curve, so the combo "slurve" just doesn't make sense to me. I do not believe he throws a splitter at all, or at least I have never heard or seen it listed anywhere. I would replace that with at least a 2-seam just from what the paragraph above says. SCEA stocks was 4-seam, slider, sinker just for reference. I've seen the changes with the other pitchers and everything looks pretty good to me so far. This was the only one that stuck out at the moment. Now I know this is like a campfire story but Daisuke has the option for the "Gyro" pitch, u think we should give it to him just because or forget it. I mean I know it's a glorified screwball, but I was just interested in what u thought. I've actually never thrown it in the game so I do not know what the break is or the specifics of it. Just thought it might be fun to throw. But I understand that u will probably just stick with the screwball. Maybe someday I'll put the Gyro in just for fun to see what it does, then make my decision from there. Thanks Razr. LaterLast edited by Foo4Everlong; 04-18-2009, 06:23 AM.Comment

Re: Full Minors Roster for '09
Knight-
sorry man not trying to be a pain....im just not sure if you got my PM or saw my previous post...Miguel Cairo was on the Phillies the opening day MLB roster on the bench and there is a guy in the Phillies MLB bullpen on all you're early releases named just "P C". All the bullpen and rotation guys are correct on the MLB rosters and he is taking Cairo's slot on the 25 man. Just wanted to bring this to your attention again so when you do your tweaking tonight or tommorow you can fix that...just didnt want you to forget about this because i am not sure what guy this is supposed to be (i know you did the initials thing in the beginning to make it easier for yourself) and i was just going to put him in the free agent pool but then im gonna have some fake player in AA...again man im not trying to bug the hell out of you with this..other than that the roster's are awesome...i cant wait to add music and get my chise going....thanksComment

Re: Full Minors Roster for '09
Sorry if I don't reply directly to all posts in here and even the PM's.
If you PM'ed me(and you did bruce)....I'll get the change in.
I haven't done them all yet, I just have been trying to knock off the teams and then do the "punchlist"
To all those who have sent me things to add/change or just words of encouragement and thanks...
THANK YOU!
Okay...I'm gonna get as much in today(at work) and then blast out the rest tonight when I get home.
Then it's just polishing everything up tomorrow and the first release will be out.
Thanks...

Re: Full Minors Roster for '09
hey, i think i just got looked over a little bit with my last post. i can't await the first of three being uploaded on roster vault very very very soon!! thanks again knight!
just wondering, i'm a huge baseball fan and like everything to be as realistic as possible. was wondering if i should wait for the third roster to get the best of the best, or if the first release will be good enough for my liking (first time using knight's amazing rosters!)
thanksComment

I'm not sure if I'm answering what you're asking or not about the positions, but I've had trouble with guys having second positions listed that they don't play and those guys being put in to replace those guys after injuries, pinch hitting etc.
For example I was playing the Dodgers and Furcal got hurt. I thought Blake DeWitt or Loretta might come in to replace him. The CPU chose Brad Ausmus. I couldn't figure out why until I looked on his player card and it lists ss as his 2nd position. I started going through the rosters and there are approximately 4-5 guys on each teams roster that have stuff like that. I'm a white sox fan and it lists LF, RF and 3B as second positions for Paul Konerko, also 3B for Thome. Adam Jones is another he has 2B and ss listed before LF and RF. I just go into edit player screen and fix it so it's right, not a huge deal, just have to find all the guys it effectsComment

Knight-
sorry i didnt want it to seem like i was trying to rush you or complaining that you didnt respond to my PM....i completely understand you have 100's of people asking about changes...just wanted to make sure you knew about it was all...i mean i could do the change myself, i'm just not sure how to get it work without having a fictional player replace the " P C " guy in AA..again thanks for all the work you're doing on these

I'm sticking with the screwball. I read that his "gyro" actually breaks like a screwball. My latest project - Madden 12 http://www.operationsports.com/forum...post2043231648Comment
