Hey knight, I have a spread sheet on excel, of the complete braves minors. A lot were taken from your set lasted year and some were created by me. It has everything. I have about 90 precent of the cubs too.

Okay...I have about 15 of the top prospects done...and I'll make sure the 40 man rosters are correct(I was surprised how many guys are missing from the actual 40 man!)
This should be done relatively quickly...and is just some "practice" for me and a stop gap until Razr and his crew finishes the pitch edits.
Trust me...with Razr's stuff and the FULL Minors......you would be doing yourself a disservice to not wait for that to be completed. It won't be long after the actual Opening Day...(a couple-three weeks)...but this is a good way to get into the game a bit more.
You'd be missing out on a lot of players that would be getting call ups if you just use the "quick set" I'm working on now.
Of course...both will have the lineup fix!

I've edited/modded a lot of stuff in my days, but I never anted to edit rosters. They are the most time consuming and draining thing to do. More power to you. Enjoy the editing and thanks for all that you do!Comment

Like i said Knight, a lot of it is your work from last year that i just copied over, i might keep doing it too. I have a lot of free time lately. I did add in some younger guys that are top prospects like and some wont be in AA yet...

Sounds awesome, I'm excited for the "mini-update." If you ever need any hosting or need a file to be mirrored anywhere, let me know. I know with the online consoles you can upload them on the spot, but just for anybody who may not have broadband, etc, I've got a bunch of servers that could use the bandwidth attention
Anyway, looking forward to the top 50 guys. I'll probably start a Franchise with that (as it'll be enough for me to get started) and then perhaps start another one in the future over the summer when the new rosters come out... more of a simulation franchise.

has anyone tested the progression with rosters with edits yet? I tried it out myself and did not really like the results, and was hoping it was just me. It seems like if you edit the roster, the progression takes them back to where they were before you edit them. I changed it on the roster before starting a franchise, and tried editing players at the start of a franchise having similar results.Comment

Please don't ask this question. We will give you updates. The rosters aren't even in knights hands right now. (if you are talking about the full minors). Razr has the rosters and he is doing all the pitch edits. I can tell you that as being one of the people that is doing the research, these aren't going to be done tomorrow, the next day or next week so please don't ask how the rosters are coming, when will it be done and are you going to put so and so in. All you guys have to do is look through this thread and there is a 100% chance that Knight has already answered your question. Please respect this process. The more questions you keep asking about is this player in and so on, we have to stop, come on here look at the thread and answer and all that takes time away from the research and creation.
Please understand that we are doing this set of rosters for YOU guys. We want this to be the best set ever and we need your cooperation in letting this process run it's course.

No, it's not, stop asking and if you want to start a season, go ahead. Stop asking the same questions over and over. If you guys are so impatient and want to start your seasons now, then make your own little roster set and start. You guys have no idea what is going into the creation of this.
I will give you a little insight into my part of the roster making process. I am doing the top 15 prospects for each team according to baseball america and Mckamey's minor league prospect guide. To make things simple for Knight, I created a template so that when he is entering this stuff in, it's easier and more organized. So, I did each team's template first, without rankings, research. Just added name, position, height and weight. To do this correctly took a few days. I have 4 teams completely done in terms of scouting research and everything. Each team is taking about 1 hour to complete and plug into the template.
So, you see there is a lot of time involved. Knight has a job, I have a job, we all have jobs, yet you all expect us to spend 24 hours a day working on this. It's not possible unless you all want to chip in and give knight a salary 5x greater then his current one. Have some respect guys. We are putting in as much time as we can. Both knight and I are married as well so it's not like we can just say goodbye to our families due to the fact that there are some impatient people on the internet. Not going to happen. You have been told when the roster will be out. Either wait for it patiently or make your own. Enough already, have respect for those of us making these rosters for you guys.

Please know that the MAJORITY of us are NOT asking these questions. We are here to recognize the hard work you guys put in to all that you do.
Just a thought of mine, but why dont you guys charge a nominal fee for putting in the work you do. This would obviously get the point across to those that "dont truly know what it takes to do what you guys do?" I know many would be furious with me stating this, but that is how I feel. I just feel too many times in the past I have seen Knights work be tweaked slightly and then reposted as someone elses roster set. That is GD ridiculous. I appreciate all you do and would love to help in any way I can. Thanks again.

First off, thanks man. We know that the majority of the people that use these rosters respect the process and we appreciate that greatly. To be honest, the reason why I asked Knight this year if I could help was because I was sick and tired of every year seeing people bitch, piss and moan about about little player in Knights roster set. I was tired of seeing the same person over and over ask, is this guy in, will you tell me what you will rate him, why did you give him this rating, etc.. SO, I actually spoke with knight and at first I told him I would handle the ungrateful people in the forum so that he doesn't have to, then i figured I might as well do research as well. So, yes we know who is being a great help and being understanding and we know those that are being big pain in the asses..
I mean, I have to be honest, when we made the post of if you have any lists of players you want included, it was amazing how cool you all where when you sent me your lists of teams and players. That's what makes this board the best.
In terms of $$$$ I don't know if that's the route Knight wants to take. It wouldn't bother me one bit. When I look around and see a few people who prosper off of rosters and 1 guy who makes his entire living off of rosters, I wouldn't mind paying for rosters. Knight put's in a lot of work and in the years past, JIM has been amazing and Razr helps out a lot as well. So, I would say that if money is made, I would say Knight divides is with Razr since they do they work on the game.
In my honest opinion, SCEA should just hire Knight and Razr and just get the whole damn thing over with already.
