)..this one the lineup logic will have the lineups differ from the MLB in some cases(no way for SCEA to have the game reflect a managers quirky tendencies on batting orders!)
Then I will have one to "fix" the lineups(make them reflect the MLB is really the term)...
Both will have the Full Minor leagues.

kurtalb....Yes...we are stuck with the potential ratings that are already in the game.
I'm lobbying for that to be editable!:wink:

I agree look how quickly the music part of the game went together.
Skyboxer and his team did the initial grunt work without knowing even how the music would work in game,
I did some filler work for players that had no known songs and added a full fictional pack,
and then the final overall cleanup and organization from N8.
I can't wait to work together with these guys in the future as a team since all our work can only get better, and this was the first kick at the cat.

A little birdy...."sworn" to secrecy told him so he wouldn't fly blind.
(I guess I'm gonna get a few demerits from the boys in S.D. over that....sorry..

...and guys...it's not like the music where you can work on one thing...while someone works on the other and you merge it.
It's one at a time with rosters.....if someone is doing something with it...everyone else has to wait. No way to put it together later.

yeah well the first to admit I don't have a clue how the process works.. To be honest I didn't even give a damn about the prospects until I saw you and the other guy creating them and it seemed like it would be sweet. Then I was like hey why aren't they working together so if this question has been answered before then it's my bad, but why were you asking for help if people can't work together?

I think the issue (someone correct me if I'm wrong) is that you can't have two people each make half the prospect and then combine the roster file. Knight is doing all these edits because only one person can work on the roster file at a time. Having two people make two different rosters doesn't mean that it's being done inefficiently. Plus (and I could be wrong), I thought this was already a community effort. Didn't some people edit stances and pitch repertoires before it went to Knight?

Oh, btw, I just bought a PS3 for this game, at least partially because of the work people do on it (esp. the minors). Thanks Knight and everyone else!

He was asking for help with info mainly. Guys who follow specific teams often have input as to who's going to end up where and all that. These rosters are for everyone to enjoy, so everyone gets input.

As for the other stuff, there are guys with "specialties" as well. Razr has his pitch edits, Brunnoce has his faces, etc. This was something that was added later in the year last year and they all merged together in a more organized fashion. So guys are sharing skills here, but there can only be one guy "holding" the roster at a time. Can't merge the files or anything.

That's why it's not so much a time/efficiency thing (meaning more people=less time) they have to have a system. One guy puts in his stuff then passes it to the next and so on. They are being as efficient as possible based on the limitations they're presented with.

Wookie's rosters (and Ridin's Rosters) are there because they both decided they wanted to do a set as well. Some guys just enjoy doing this stuff, is all.

There is cooporation, but there's only so much guys can realistically contribute (directly) without getting things screwed up a bit. If someone wants to also do there own set, then so be it. At the end of the day, they're all sharing them with the community, so they can't be that bad.

Cool glad I got a clear picture. It's obviously not an X-Box thing because the damn game ain't even on x-box so that's a wrap. I was really referencing Wookie doing a version vs. working on this, but I guess ol boy just want to feel loved.

So this roster,when completed, will have faces, pitch edits, top prospects, and N8s custom music?

My comment wasn't a knock against you Knight, so don't take it that way.
It's more of a wish that the Devs could allow for more for sharing of talent instead of having to wait for each part to do be done in their own process first, it would just make things easier and much quicker, that's all.
Sorry for any mis-understanding, I for one appreciate the effort you and the other edit guys are doing, I understand how tedious the process is after doing the 60-90's music thing.
Keep up the great work and obviously look forward to the finished product.
