That would be great. Top 100 prospects faces are perfect and all other will just have the real names is perfect for me.

Re: Full Minors Roster for '09
Knight, the Reds just traded Jeff Keppinger to the Astros for a player to be named later...its looking more like Paul Janish will be on the opening day roster, and Alex Gonzalez will start the season on the 15-day disabled list...Comment

Re: Full Minors Roster for '09
I'm thinking of getting ready a version that would have this...
1-Lineup fix
2-40 man rosters for each team completed(ratings/faces complete)
3-top 100 prospects(ratings/faces complete)
4-Every player a real player(ratings done/NO FACE(but skin/info/height /weight correct)
This would significantly cut the production time and I can work on the faces and re-release.
As it stands now, I have...1-2-3 ready along with a FULLY completed AL EAST(every player...ratings/faces/info complete)
I want to see how much I can get done in the next few days...but I will be taking a different tact......doing the names/attributes for everyone first(this way, I can release it as stated if it looks good) rather than doing everything complete.
I know you're itchin' to start...so am I!

Re: Full Minors Roster for '09
FYI, The Orioles finally labeled their 5-man rotation today, or at least it's pretty obvious.
1. Jeremy Guthrie
2. Koji Uehara
3. Alfredo Simon
4. Adam Eaton
5. Mark Hendrickson
Radhames Liz was sent to AAA, Hayden Penn and Brian Bass are either bullpen RPs or Penn may be gone.
Just to make sure the AL east is fully readyComment

Re: Full Minors Roster for '09
As far as the Tigers/Braves trade of Darrow for Josh Anderson ... Darrow has a sidearm/undrhand motion (I'm sure RAZR already knew this, but just in case) and Dave Dombrowski stated that Anderson will be on the 25 man roster on opening day (he's out of minor league options). I don't know if this info helps, but I just thought I would throw it out there.
Apparently, Bonine has a sinker and two different knuckleballs.
This is from detroittigers.com:
"As a starter, Bonine is known less for velocity and more for hitting the strike zone, mixing his pitches and making opponents mi**** the ball for outs, a plan that resulted in his 12 wins with the Mud Hens last year. As a reliever, Bonine has given hitters a steady diet of sinkers and knuckleballs to go with a fastball that has gained some life.
"I think one of the biggest things is he knows he's not going to be out there long, so he throws harder," Leyland said.
Bonine the starter threw the knuckler in certain situations last season. With encouragement from Tigers coaches, the reliever Bonine has made the knuckleball a bigger part of his arsenal when he gets ahead in counts. To further the point, he has developed a second knuckleball, with less velocity and more movement than his usual one. That's similar to the approach famed knuckleballer Tim Wakefield has used for years.
"That's very good," Leyland said of the knuckler. "It can be real nasty."
Bonine isn't nearly in that mode yet, because he throws more of his other pitches. But deception is working to his favor. More consistent mechanics, meanwhile, are helping him throw better pitches. Consistency was one of the biggest keys he observed during his time with the Tigers last summer. "I'm trying to become more comfortable with my delivery, staying back and keeping my position strong," Bonine said. "You can't just go out there and be crazy mechanically and expect to pound the strike zone continuously."

Also if you guys want anything changed tell me ASAP because right when Knight posts his finished file I'm going to go through and correct some of my edits and post as a non edited version and then take care of the stamina edits and post as an edited file. After that I may not be touching the file again so now is your chance. And anything last minute probably isn't getting in.

Re: Full Minors Roster for '09
Knight - this may be a stupid question..but this will be the first time I will be using your rosters so bear with me.
I know your rosters are due around the begining of the season so..... How do you handle starters who are injured to start the season? Like for instance - Bonderman (DET) was placed on the DL today. Do you simply just move him to AAA? Do you leave him in the staring rotation and leave it up to us to make the appropriate roster moves?Comment

Re: Full Minors Roster for '09
I have a question, being another first time user. Knight, do you fill the Free Agents column with the fake players and also drop the old timers to 0? I just want to know since I will use your roster as my main one, and want to know if it will be prepared for players to be released, since I usually just swap them with a Free Agent fake player with the same position and drop them to AA. If not, is there any tip on how to release players that you use that could help me out?Comment
