Re: Full Minors Roster for '09
Well I can pretty much guarantee the first release by next weekend.
POSSIBLY(if I could put this word in exploding firework letters I would) by late in the week.
I'm absolutely CRUSHING the last couple of days......eating up fake players like Scooby Snacks!
It will be slightly raw(I haven't been doing any equipment changing, but have been giving random stances/motions)...but it will have every player done...most with the faces close(they will be updated).
I did an A.L. test run last night and it was so good to see real players in the League Leader rundowns for the minor leagues.
I can almost start my N.Y. Met quest for the Championship!
In a way...I'm glad it'll be a couple of day(okay a week) after Opening Day...gives me a chance to properly sort out the lineups(without totally guessing) and see about 25 man rosters and players getting released and waived.
Keep the faith brothers!

Next weekend sounds great to me Knight! Keep up the hard work and thanks for everything!"I am more valuable to my team hitting .330 than swinging for home runs." - Roberto Clemente

Re: Full Minors Roster for '09
I haven't seen anybody post this yet, here's the Cards 25-man roster:
OF: Rasmus, Ludwick, Ankiel, Duncan
MI: Greene, Schumaker, Thurston, Barden, Ryan
3B: Freese
1B: Pujols
C: Molina, LaRue
SP: Carpenter, Wainwright, Lohse, Wellemeyer, Pineiro
RP: Motte, Franklin, Reyes, Miller, McClellan, Thompson, Kinney
Motte looks to be getting the first shot at closing. As for the lineup, I think the only certain things are Schumaker leading off and Pujols batting third. LaRussa pretty much switches everybody else up almost daily. Even Greene has been hitting cleanup the last few days.Comment

Re: Full Minors Roster for '09
Hey knight. First I gotta say thanks for all the hard work on this by you and everyone else who's assembling these rosters. Having just switched over to the Show after 3 years with MVP 2005 on the PC, it's nice to still be able to get awesome rosters.
Second, I haven't seen the Jays roster in the last few pages, so based on everything that's happened to date it looks like it'll probably be this:
Batting Order
1) Marco Scutaro (SS)
2) Aaron Hill (2B)
3) Alex Rios (RF)
4) Vernon Wells (CF)
5) Adam Lind (DH/LF)
6) Scott Rolen (3B)
7) Lyle Overbay (1B)
8) Rod Barajas (C)
9) Travis Snider (LF/DH)
Snider & Lind will share both the LF and DH roles, but it appears Lind will be the primary DH and Snider the primary left fielder.
Bench
Kevin Millar (1B/OF)
Michael Barrett (C)
John McDonald (SS)
Jose Bautista (3B/IF)
Rotation
1) Roy Halladay (RHP)
2) Jesse Litsch (RHP)
3) David Purcey (LHP)
4) Ricky Romero (LHP)
5) Scott Richmond (RHP)
Bullpen
Scott Downs (LHP)
Shawn Camp (RHP)
Jesse Carlson (LHP)
Brandon League (RHP)
Jason Frasor (RHP)
Brian Tallet (LHP)
B.J. Ryan (RHP)
I don't know the roles in the bullpen for sure, but if I had to guess it would be Downs & Tallet as long relief, Camp, Carlson, & Frasor as the middle relief, League as the set-up man, and Ryan closing.
Jeremy Accardo will probably be the first pitcher called back up. Apparently he's had some problems this spring, but if he can work those out I'd expect/hope that he comes back up and shoves Frasor out of the bullpen.Last edited by The Nemesis; 04-04-2009, 02:30 PM.Comment

I can't wait to play with these rosters but I can't get 1.01 to install so I might never be able to.Comment

Re: Full Minors Roster for '09
If so...try deleting the info from your drive(essentially deleting the game)....don't hook up to SPORTSCONNECT (disable your wireless internet if you use that)....try a fresh install and then go to update.
I had a similar problem(if that's it) and this worked for me.
Thanks for the sticky Millenium!

Re: Full Minors Roster for '09
Knight, thanks for your work on this. Haven't seen the Red Sox roster and lineup, so here you go:
CF Ellsbury
2B Pedroia
DH Ortiz
1B Youkilis
RF Drew
LF Bay
3B Lowell
SS Lowrie
C Varitek
C Kottaras
IF Nick Green (until Lugo is healthy in May or so)
1B/OF Chris Carter (until Kotsay is healthy in May or so)
OF/DH Baldelli
Rotation:
Beckett
Lester
Matsuzaka
Wakefield
Penny (no idea what'll happen when Smoltz is healthy, but it may depend on Penny's effectiveness)
Bullpen:
CL Papelbon
SU Masterson
SU/MR Okajima
SU/MR Saito
MR Delcarmen
MR Lopez
MR R. Ramirez
And here's my crack at the AAA and AA teams. I'm not sure how you're planning on doing this with regard to Major League injured guys (Lugo, Kotsay, Smoltz here), so I'll put them in AAA for now:
AAA
C Dusty Brown (40)
1B Jeff Bailey (40)
2B Gil Velazquez
SS Julio Lugo (40)(or Ivan Ochoa)
3B Angel Chavez
LF Zach Daeges
CF Jonathan Van Every (40)
RF Chip Ambres
DH Mark Kotsay (40) (or Brad Wilkerson)
SS Ivan Ochoa (or 2B Jeff Natale)
C Carlos Maldonado
OF Jeff Corsaletti
Rotation: Clay Buchholz (40), Michael Bowden (40), Charlie Zink, Kris Johnson, John Smoltz (40) (or Enrique Gonzalez)
Bullpen: Daniel Bard (Top 100), Hunter Jones (40), Devern Hansack (40), Fernando Cabrera, Marcus McBeth, Billy Traber, Enrique Gonzalez (or one of Rocky Cherry/Chris George/Felix Rodriguez)
AA
C Mark Wagner (40)
1B Lars Anderson (Top 100)
2B Ryan Khoury
SS Argenis Diaz (40)
3B Jorge Jimenez
LF Aaron Bates (moved from 1B)
CF Bubba Bell
RF Josh Reddick (top 100)
DH Jon Still
C Juan Apodaca
IF Iggy Suarez
OF Reid Engel
Rotation: Adam Mills, Junichi Tazawa (40), Travis Beazley, Ryne Lawson, Felix Doubront (40)
Bullpen: Richie Lentz, Dustin Richardson, TJ Large, Blake Maxwell, Bryce Cox, Chad Rhoades, Chris ProvinceComment
