Which catcher in the game(SCEA) would you consider the best representation as an average catcher?...where you can steal and get caught at a decent rate......and which would you consider to have the best representation as average coming out from behind the plate to get to bunts?

Average 3B defender....ground balls and covering bunts?
Average 1B defender .....ground balls and covering bunts?

Also, for the Rays are you including guys like Shawn O'Malley, Reid Fronk, Cody Cipriano, and Mike McCormick? Just wondering because these are all guys I remember meeting in 2007 while interning with the Rays NY-Penn League affiliate. All of those 4 are still with the organization, I believe. What about Zach Grienke's little brother Luke for the Yankees? Thanks, don't mean to seem impatient or ungreatful, I'm just dying to play with these rosters. I know that I, as well as everyone else here appreciate the dedication you have put into this.

edit: nevermind Luke Grienke got released yesterday by the Yankees yesterday.

Can anyone tell me how you change the potential for a player. I was messing around with a roster update the other day and even though I upped the ratings significantly it still had a player listed as a C potential prospect. Is there a trick to the potential?

No editing potential.
What you start with is what you get.

I'm begging SCEA on this....but you know what?...the further I get into this set....the more I realize you'd be tempted to hand out too many A's and B's...and you begin to realize that there are enough in the set already.
Most minor league prospects will probably be serviceable MLB players or platoon players..(C's and some B's) and there are plenty of those.
Create your A players (21 available)....find the remaining 7 or 8 A's in the game already...and that is more than enough future superstars to start...PLUS you get more as you start a franchise(the FA list) and each year more get sifted in.

Although it would make Knights (and team) job easier if the potential rating could be edited, it can't be.

The trick to get the potential you want is to either create a player or edit a player who has the potential you want. Of course the only players you can edit are the fake players and not actual players.

Tip, an easy way to view potential is to go to the manage roster screen and scroll all the way to the right, you can see the potential for every player.

Thanks, a lot. I was just curious because I know that making the rosters takes alot and you usually end up using all the create a players to add prospects/players not in the game. I like to create myself sometimes and put myself in the minors but I don't want to edit one of the real top prospects so I usually have to settle for a guy that is a B or C potential. I guess I will figure something out. Thanks again

it's there....nothing I can do about it.

Knight, how did you fix the lineup jumble? Do your rosters reset the lineups to CPU logic when the season starts?

Its such a small thing i would have thought SCEA could sort it, but i guess its not exactly top of their agenda right now understandably.

I highly doubt there will be any room for us to create players, with a limited number of created player spots roster creators really have there work cut out for them.

It would be nice to have a few spots though, because I always end up creating my brother and myself as prospects for my franchise.
