Re: Chicago Cubs Roster Thread
Also included is a Cubs and Red Sox Franchise set for Opening Day and with CPU roster control ON. Some players like Ichiro and A Rod will have to be called up when it is time.
Lineups and Rotations are set for Opening Day and Lineups and rotations were done after Spring Training so they "stick". The CPU will not rearrange lineups or rotations. Use my CPU lineup fix workaround thread and two controllers for games you actually play to have the correct lineups for games you play. The simmed games will be correct since my lineups/rotations stick.
These franchises (Cubs and Red Sox) are based on Ridin's Final Rosters and do not have the career stat glitch. Although Ridin did not alter many ratings, I have also edited players back to stock SCEA ratings (Soriano, Helton, Sizemore to name a few).
All new SCEA players ratings have been added up to 5/18/09 such as Matt LaPorta, John Koronka, Carlos Corporan, Ron Villone, Bobby Scales, and all the guys that have been added since this roster set base (5-11-09 I believe). I have also fixed some apparel for Cubs and Red Sox players. The Iowa Cubs lineup is also fixed. All ratings other than stock SCEA ratings were done by Ridin.
Don't forget to load your own settings and slider sets into these franchises.Comment

Re: Chicago Cubs Roster Thread
Thanks for the franchise update. Is there anyway to take the rosters from your franchise, and use them for season mode? Im trying to play a season as the Cubs, based on the players they used in real life. The most recent update has Freel on the cubs and he wasn't on the team opening day. Also Bobby Scales is on this roster, but he wasn't on the mlb team on opening day. If I try to move him to Triple A, he is out of options.
Thanks!Comment

Re: Chicago Cubs Roster Thread
While creating my guy for RTTS, I was looking through the batting stances. I came across Jason Varitek and it looked similar to Ryan Theriot. It might not be perfect, but it looks pretty close.
Try it out if you'd like.Chicago Cubs - Chicago Bears - Milwaukee Bucks

I actually only play seasons following real life transactions. I don't do any franchise stuff, but I like the flexibility of the franchise mode (you can just move guys down to AAA and stuff that you don't want in the MLB.
If you make all of your Cub moves in the CPU roster control area for the Cubs instead of the Cubs team menu (the one with Manage roster at the top), you can avoid waiver problems with Freel and other guys. Do all of your moves in the CPU roster control area to avoid problems with transactions.Comment
