Yea, for the Mets it would be either the
    '69 Mets
    or
    '73 Mets

I would love to see one of the Expos teams from the 80's make it. Raines, Dawson, Oliver, Wallach, Sanderson, Carter and many more. Add to that, we could play with the old Expos uniforms. That would be sweet. Pretty please Knight.

It's probably going to be '81.

I think all of the major teams from the Big Red Machine should be represented:

            1970 Reds
            1972 Reds
            1975 Reds
            1976 Reds

You can only have one team per franchise. It's not like MVP05 where the guys could mod the league structures and replace uniform and stadium files, etc.

Unless Knight does 4 different classic year rosters, there will only be one Reds team.

That's pretty sad news, as I think all 4 deserve to be there. 1975 would have to be the choice, as that was really a classic series.

Do you mean technically how was it done? You'd have to visit mvpmods.com for that info, but suffice it to say they mods cracked the graphics and editors were made to update uniforms, stadiums, etc and replace positions in league and team files. I didn't do any of that actual work (I did classic rosters), but they have a very talented crew over there that could probably fill you in. Remember, this was all PC based...very little could be done with the console versions of the game.

                            Re: Knight - classic teams

I actually started these last night.

First two teams I'm doing are the '86 Mets and the '61 Yankees.
Just taking Gooden, McDowell and a couple of regulars I finished against the Cubs was a lot of fun(I just wanted to see how they looked in the new game...awesome! )

Looks like we're on the same page. Did you see my picks? Eerily similar.

                                1986 Houston Astros
                                1969 New York Mets
                                1984 San diego Padres

Here is the teams that I picked next for the ones with the question marks…78 Red Soxs….Look at the Outfield, Lynn, Rice, Evans…Enough said about that team….
Went with 83 White Soxs cause you have the first true DH in Harold Baines on that team. Good team that never got any love, but they are the White Soxs so there is never any love….
86 Astros, With Mike Scott, Nolan Ryan, Glenn Davis…This team could have beaten the Mets but I think the Mets just had luck on their side that year ask Buckner….Sorry Red Sox fans…..
For the Mets I would like to see the 86 Mets but What about the MIRCLE METS!! Can’t go wrong with that team…good classic team in MLB…
Then the Padres….Steve Garvey, Tony Gwynn, ect……Soild team that played well together…..
