What's the deal with a non-patched machine? What does that add? Knight, if you need help just PM me. If you don't remember, I helped out for 2008.

So did you guys make Sandoval better. He should be 95L and 85R for contact . And power should be 90R and 70L both sides. It is time to make this guy better. He is going nowhere and will be a beast for awhile! Plus he is only 23 OUCH!

A non patched roster...can be used in either type of game.
A roster done on a patched machine..cannot be used by someone who did not patch.

If I need anything...I will be sure to contact you.
          Thank you Heisman.

Do you recommend the patch? What are the pros and cons? if there is a link to a thread discussing this, you can just provide that.

also i keep reading about a vault with roster files. where is this located? thanks.

I use both.....but only because I have one that I work on without the patch.
Otherwise, I use the patched game.
There is some sort of problem with replays in the patched game, I believe...perhaps someone could elaborate.

              The Vault.
When you are online and connect to SportsConnect(from within the game) there is a section called the Roster Vault. This is where users upload their own rosters for others to download....very easily and directly into their game...rather than the USB route.

Ah, that's why I have no clue what the vault is. I have to go the USB route.

Where can I find this patched version of MLB Show 09?

Thanks again for all your help.

Re: Operation Sports Full Minors '09 - Discussion Thread

With all due respect, Mr. Knight... How you could make Heyward so bad at batting and fielding yet make Wieters one of the best players in the game is still a big mystery to me. Wieters is no doubt an excellent hitter and was a better hitter than Heyward in the minors, although not by much. I still think the ratings even with the boosts that you gave Heyward are still far too low. I still think Heyward's fielding ability is way too low and he's really not that slow in real life, but I'm willing to let those go. But why Heyward has batting ratings lower than the likes of Coco Crisp is an even bigger mystery. Please reconsider these ratings, Knight. Maybe start from scratch. Or if you think Heyward is simply not that good, you can let me know so I can stop bugging you. Thanks.

Re: Operation Sports Full Minors '09 - Discussion Thread

                    In 533 AB's in Advanced A and AA Heyward hit .316 with 11 homers 51 Walks and 78 K's

Most scouts had him in the top 50....but unlike Wieters who was rated either 1 or 2 by every scout.....Heyward was rated 15-16 and 5.
...and unlike Wieters who was rated 2nd as best in power and 4th in best in contact...Heyward was rated 11 and 27.

Wieters...in A and AA hit .344 with 27 homers 82 walks and 76 K's. FAR superior to Heywards numbers.

Also....most people agreed that Wieters was ready for the MLB jump(which you see he took a SEVERE hit to his minor league numbers)....while nobody projected Heyward to be at the MLB level this season. He'll probably make the jump to AAA next year and yes he is having a terrific season so far.

I went through the same thing with both Jay Bruce and Colby Rasmus the last couple of years and fans of them......screaming how I "under rated" them....Jay Bruce? .207 with 18 homers....Rasmus?....248 with 11 homers.
This year?....guys freaked I only rated Fernando Martinez as a B!...they were right...the guy MIGHT be a C!
I don't really get the Crisp correlation......but Crisp's numbers in the game are off his .283 7 homers in 360 AB's which Heyward MIGHT hit if he were promoted to the MLB this year.
Sometimes, you gotta take a step back....take a breath and realize that as a fan of a team/player, you might just be putting the cart before the horse.
Will Heyward be a good player?
I almost guarantee it...but the "low" ratings are there for a reason....it takes time and nurturing. Enjoy him playing well in AA right now...promote him after your off season to AAA...let him gain another 10-11 points again(twice) and then let him loose on the MLB.

Thanks for the explanation. I'm playing every game of the season and don't feel like waiting though so he's already in the majors and is hittign around .280 with only one homerun. His first at-bat was a three-run homer. :P

Hey guys, sorry to bother you with so many questions, I've been trying to navigate around the site and am having trouble finding certain things.

I've decided that I would like to give Wake's latest FullMinors roster update a try and I was wondering if the patch was needed for those rosters or not.

If the patch is needed, where can I find it?

Also, Knight, you said you were going to go use Wake's rosters as a template and edit some things. Approx how long until this is done? I know you are working on the classic rosters at this time as well.

                          Knight,
I was just wondering if you have the created face and so forth information to go along with the below ratings of Drew Sutton. I was wanting to add him to my franchise via replacing another created player, but I don't want to start a whole new franchise. Thank you if you can provide this information for me.

Also, I downloaded Wake's Full Minors roster and extracted the files into a folder.

The folder wasn't labeled PS3 like Knights and when I transferred it over to my thumb drive, put the TD in the PS3, the PS3 didn't find the folder (labeled "BCU..." something).

I downloaded Knight's version 2 of the rosters and got it loaded onto the game just fine.

Do I need to create and folder called PS3 and put Wake's files into that one? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Actually...yes you need to create two folders.
PS3 and SAVEDATA...put the BCUS....folder into the SAVEDATA folder...then put that into the PS3 folder.
                              That will get you going.

Ok I got Wake's file loaded onto the PS3. I try to load the file in the game and it says the file is corrupted. Does this mean I need the patch?

Is this patch attainable via the internet/thumb nail drive/USB route?

PS3 and SAVEDATA...put the BCUS....folder into the SAVEDATA folder...then put that into the PS3 folder.
                                That will get you going.
