I really really hope Knight does not have to redo everything.

SCEA really needs to find a way to make sure Knight's roster can be used. Especially since he spent an incredible amount of time on it.

Thanks. Actually, my other question was how Razr determines the ratings or sliders of pitchers because there is one pitcher that I'd like to create/edit from the FA pool that I signed. I was wondering whether or not he follows some template or formula based on the scouting report of the picture...that's all.

Oh yah, one small note, its probably too late, so I'm not asking for Knight and Co. to modify anymore, but I've just been playing the latest rosters playing as the Angels and something is amiss. I'm gonna change it locally in my version but thought I'd share it in case anyone cares:

Jered Weaver: His fastball has been consistently clocked at 94-96MPH when in reality his fastball only tops off about 94MPH and is consistently between 89-91MPH. He's not a power pitcher by any means and mainly relies on location. I know this since I follow the Angels almost every game on radio.

Scot Shields: His curve is a 12-6 curve and his slider pitch is evidently missing. One of Shields out-pitch is his slider that break diagonally and his fastball has movement like a 2-seamer instead of a sinker.

Kelvim Escobar: I forgot about his pitch set, but if I remember correctly his 4-sm is missing. Unlike many pitchers whose fastball has movement, Kelvim's pitch is usually straight, so I think his 4-sm should stay.

I'll take a look at these.

No....he is making a separate file for those that want his PITCH updates but no stamina updates....he will then put the stamina edits into that set for those that do want it.



Oh....and it looks like those that want correct lineups, do indeed have to use the lineup fix version...they change when you go to play a game.(actually in game)

That just comes to mind. Since all this patch problem has arose, I haven't heard or read about wookies roster being effected. Can someone confirm if wookies roster is good too use? Thanks Razr.

So do we know(sorry but these pages fill fast) if there is something "special" about the last two roster updates, or has it been said if using...knights roster per se.... if there are things in the patch that are not compatiable.

My question is really, outside of the stat glich and lineups, are these rosters (knights etc...) valid to the game for any other things that were patched today?

The stat glitch and lineup glitch (if you get then non lineup fix version) will still be there. Otherwise these are fine.

OK, first off for people that don't know, I have spent a good deal of time testing rosters for stat glitches, trying workarounds, etc. and this is the conclusion I have come to:

I think the only rosters that will not have the career stat glitch will be SCEA 4/20 (not sure if you can load edited versions of this on the vault now (I am pretty sure you can)) and SCEA 4/27 (today's). I have tested both of those extensively this morning, and looked at many many career stats on many guys like A-rod, Smoltz, Giambi, Holliday, Teixiera, Beckett, Billy Wagner, and the other usual suspects, lol.

The problem before was that once a new SCEA roster came out the previous rosters got the stat glitch. That is why so many guys where saving franchises of Ridin's then career stat-glitch free roster before SCEA released their 4/20 roster. Once that came out, RidinsFootballs Final roster became a pumpkin. If you saved a Franchise to play with, you were fine and would not have the stat glitch. That is why so many people want franchises with Ridinfootballsfinal rosters posted in a separate thread here.

The reason why I think 4/20 SCEA roster is OK is because it does not have the stat glitch even after the new one came (4/27) today (and that always ruined other rosters). And of course 4/27 which is today's wouldn't "show" the glitch yet anyway since there is no newer roster. But, I think it will be fine (4/27) since 4/20 is fine.

If you don't want the career stat glitch the roster will have to originate from SCEA 4/20 (if these can be loaded to the vault, that is) or 4/27 (that is my current hypothesis).

Of course, none of us should expect Knight to redo his entire work. That would be maddening.

I say use Knight's rosters if you want the most accurate rosters. If the stat glitch bothers you that much then unfortunately currently there is no option. I would consider this project when on vacation if I had a second PS3 to look of off, but it would be quite a project, and I don't think at the end of the day, it would be worth it.

Personally, I will either roll with Knights Full Minors stock pitchers/stock players rosters that I edit a little to my liking (to get pitchers pitches the way I want them), OR I will use his full minors as a guide to making the full minors for the Cubs, Red Sox, Twins, and Indians, the only teams I expect I will play in franchise.

Wookie claims they are good (no stat glitch). I have read other posts that they still have the stat glitch, but i don't know if those users loaded them correctly.

However, bear in mind, he did a lot of attribute edits, so if you don't like that...

Knights are already available via sendspace (check sticky thread in this forum).

Are we even able to still use Knight's roster? Russell said that Knight gave him the go ahead to do this patch/fix knowing that it would mess some things up (in the patch details/impressions thread, page 9 or 10). So will these even work now?

The patch doesn't fix rosters with the stat glitch saved. .....which applies to mine....Sorry.
If that's the most important detail in your franchise...you must look elsewhere....sorry.

Since the patch didnt fix roster control or lineup AI, do we have a timetable for a roster version close to this:

- Lineup fix
- Default pitch types and stamina
- Strut's stance\motions
