how extensive is the statistics glitch... just a few players of some teams, all teams? position players, pitchers?

definitly not every player. major ones i can think of riight now are, a-rod, glavine, texiera has a-rods HR total, and a-rod has tex's. im pretty sure that it effects players that were called up/sent down between MLB and minors in the SCEA updates. so basically it doesnt affect every player, and some teams are unaffected primarliy, but idk which ones off the top of my head. unless you just cant live with incorrect stats, i would say to play with Knight's set anyway. the stats are just dressing, it doesnt affect gameplay in anyway.

He doesn't know what he's talking about.
Historical stats have ZERO to do with performance. They are just window dressing.

Sorry....I guess I should have said that you were mistaken on that point...my bad.

Too many guys have been blaming my rosters for everything ....from crashing their franchises(turned out to be the extra game in the schedule)...to crashing off season(turned out to be the same thing)...and then you pretty much stated it as fact that the historical stat glitch was going to cause unrealistic stats in franchises(just not the case).....I guess the polar bear extinction ....swine flu and global warming are next to be associated with them!

I don't think it works that way Art, and if anyone knows it would be Knight since he has worked with attributes on this game for years now, its probably just variance withing that simulated season. Do a few seasons of these and do a few seasons of SCEA stock. You can't come to any conclusion based on one simulated season anyway.

lol yeah i was about to blame them for that. i think everyone was just so freaked out and pissed about how the patch worked (or not worked, in some cases) that we tried to find a reason why. i think maybe it was becuase the whole clearing of the roster vault got kinda misinterpreted. nonetheless, the same people that are complaining about it would complain if you stopped doing your rosters, so dont worry bout any of that. keep up the good work man

This is no biggie, but I notice in all of your Cubs rosters that C. Marmol is the closer. He hasn't been the closer except for a few situations this year when Gregg couldn't go a second day or he warmed up, sat down and Lou didn't want to put him back in because of his knee problem.

So officially Gregg is still the closer and Marmol the setup man.

Maybe you do this for balance, but on the Cubs farm system, Nate Spears, Jason Dubois that you have in AA, are actually on the AAA Iowa Cubs. Doug Deeds hasn't started much in LF at all. It has been Dubois in LF with Fox at 1B a lot or sometimes Fox in LF and sometimes Scales or Deeds at 1B in that case (then Rivas or Spears plays 2B).

Looking at the box scores the most common lineup (best case) this year for the Iowa Cubs is this:

RHP No DH

CF Fuld
3B Spears or Rivas
2B Bobby Scales
1B Jake Fox
RF Brad Snyder
LF Jason Dubois
C Chris Robinson
SS Andres Blanco

LHP No DH

CF So Taguchi or Sam Fuld
2B Bobby Scales
3B Luis Rivas
1B Jake Fox
LF Jason Dubois
RF Brad Snyder
C Chris Robinson
SS Andres Blanco

Of course there has been a variety of lineups, but looking at the box scores this appears to be their strongest most common lineup. Fox has been getting more time at 1B now than LF

when you have the game in ur ps3 and you're on the XMB hit triangle on the MLB: The Show 09 icon, go to properties and check the version number. I'm playing w/o the patch but the current version is 1.06 i think.

I will try and get v4 and v5 done and uploaded sometime Monday...but if not(I'm actually working all day Monday until Tuesday afternoon sometime)......I will have it up Tuesday night.

v4(stock PP/Razrs update)...and then v5(lineup fix/Razrs)
